Exquisite Views! It “Shore is Beautiful" here! 5 Bed / 2 Bath Ocean Front Home.

“Shore is Beautiful" is a five (5) bedroom two (2) full bathroom house (plus a 3rd large outdoor shower). Located right on the oceanfront. Enjoy the unobstructed views! See the ocean from every room in the house. Hop off the large deck and put your toes in the sand. Perfect spot for your vacation!

The house boasts an open and inviting living area with an electric fireplace and TV with Roku. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the supplies you need. There is a dishwasher and a full size washing machine and dryer.

Five bedrooms total: the 3 bedrooms downstairs include pillowtop mattresses. The primary bedroom has a queen and full bath. Bedroom 2 has a king bed with a reading nook and a smart TV. Bedroom 3 has 2 fulls and a smart TV. Bathroom 2 includes a full bathtub + shower combination.

Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms, one with 2 singles, and the other has a daybed with a pull out trundle and a sitting area with: TV, dvd player, games, and an XBOX.

There is high speed Internet (WiFi) throughout the house as well.

Enjoy time on the new front or side decks and listen to the waves crash. For those hot summer days, enjoy the cool sitting area under the house or hang up your eno or hammock.

The large outdoor shower has hot and cold water.

There are plenty of activities in the area if enjoying the beach isn't the only thing you want to do. The town of Oak Island has tennis, pickle-ball, and basketball courts. You can also play on the soccer or baseball field or take the little ones to the splash pad. If you like to fish, it's a great place to surf fish right out your back door, head 2 miles to the pier, or try your luck on the inter-coastal waterway. There are 30 golf courses within a 45 minute drive of the island. 15 minutes away is Southport which has been voted the "Happiest Coastal Town" in the US and has great shopping and restaurants.

A cleaning fee will be added to your total when you book. You are responsible for your own linens. **** If you wish to have linens provided for you (sheets for all the beds, bath towel, hand towel, washcloth and kitchen towel) please let us know and we will add the $95 linen fee.****

Additionally: a starter of toilet paper, dish soap, laundry pods, dryer sheets, dish washer pods and paper towels are provided. Guests may need to bring more depending on the length of stay and frequency of use. Bath soap and shampoo are not provided.

Great house for beach week with my sister’s family! We had 3 adults and 5 kids didn’t feel crowded for most things - would have liked a little more seating in the living room for movie nights, but there were enough extra pillows and blankets to make it work. Love being directly on the beach! It’s right next to a public beach access point, but it never got too crowded on the sand or in the water. Plenty of beach equipment in the closet and very convenient outdoor shower and clotheslines underneath the house. The only little blip was the cleaning crew was running late and was still there at check in time. The owner let me know beforehand, and communicated well when needed. Overall was an excellent stay!

Accessing the beach was a challenge as there was a 4 ft drop to the beach. Host was great with communication! Flexible - we were able to check in early which was really appreciated. Place was very clean and beds comfortable. House was very dated and needs major updates. Sliding doors to the deck were fixed in place and cannot be opened, not all windows were operational.

We had a great time staying here! Check in was seamless, the views are beautiful, beach access is easy, and the kitchen had nearly everything we wanted for cooking (including basic cooking essentials like olive oil, salt, and pepper). There were some things that were definitely a little bit worn like the outdoor furniture, but overall the house was in good condition. The hosts are very responsive, which is so appreciated!

The location on the ocean is great. However, the condition is bad. The house was very unclean when we arrived. The floors were extremely sandy. The windows filthy. The rugs and carpets are stained and filthy. The toilet was not cleaned and had dry feces in the bowl. Therefore, I am sure it had not been cleaned at all. The refrigerator drawers had debris in them. The kitchen window was dirty and had dead flies in the seal. The outside shower had a soiled diaper and the grounds outside had numerous pieces of trash. There were two broken grills under the porch area. When I contacted the owner about the issues, she offered to send the cleaning person over to clean. We did not want someone to come and clean while we were starting our vacation. She did refund the cleaning fee after I reminded her. I literally vacuumed a half a gallon or more of sand from the house. With the price of this house and a cleaning fee one would expect it to be clean. As far as the furnishings go, the furniture is not in the best condition. The fixtures are in need of repair, and the bedrooms are overcrowded with too much furniture. I am providing an honest review for anyone who wants a clean house. I had to spend valuable vacation time cleaning before we felt comfortable there. I only listed a portion of the issues. The owner did not seem concerned about the issues. Cleanliness is very important to me. I took pictures and sent them to her. The pictures listed don't match current condition of the home.

Great stay! Location was amazing being right on the beach. It was an easy walk down to the beach as well. The closet was full of beach supplies such as boogie boards, chairs and buckets/shovels for kids. Also nets to catch little fish in the ocean which was a favorite for my kids. Crabbing in the evening with flashlights was a hit too! It was big enough to have our own space when needed but small enough to be cozy and gather with family. We spent a lot of time on the deck in the evenings. Having the linen package was helpful. A great value for this location.

The house has had a cheap makeover without significant improvements. The cabinets throughout are cheap a need replacing. The kitchen is all the lowest grade equipment (cheaply redone cabinets, laminate countertops, cheap fridge without ice maker or filtered water). The bathrooms were old and not made over. One of the bedrooms had not been remodeled at all. And the air conditioning was not reliable. For the price, the quality was just not what it should have been.

Been coming to OKI for 30 years…stayed everywhere from Ivy cottage to Champagne Shores but this little gem was the best stay yet…wonderful hosts, fantastic location, and wonderful views. Thanks again for a fabulous vacation.

Very nice house and stay

We really enjoyed the house and enjoyed our 33rd year on Oak Island. Only drawback is there was not bathroom upstairs and the outside shower could have used a lttile TLC. Other than that it was a great stay. We're renting again next May 2026. Can't wait!!!!

Lovely home on the beach

Lovely home for 2 empty-nesters, 2 adult "kids," and one elderly mom. The location is amazing, right on the beach. The weather was sunny but super windy (30 mph gusts) when we visited, so our time on the beach was a bit limited to the mornings before the wind picked up. We were still able to enjoy the view from the two big patio doors in the living area. Everything we could possibly need in kitchen equipment was provided. Nice selection of beach chairs and toys as well. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions. Be aware if anyone in your group has limited mobility that there are 13 steps up either the front or the back entries. The deck appears new and is very sturdy, but it was tough for Mom. The deck includes a nice rattan seating area as well as a built-in bar with two tall chairs, some adirondack chairs, and two rockers. The two upstairs rooms would be perfect for kids, but be aware of the open-backed stairs there, too. All in all a beautiful space for family time at the beach.

Beautiful, perfect location

The property is well maintained, and overall the descriptions are just right. Opted for the linen service and that was helpful. Enjoyed coffee on the deck overlooking the water. Loved being able to just walk up and over the private path of the dune to the water. Only drawback, I did not realize nor did it say anywhere that the front doors facing the ocean are locked and not able to be opened. To be fair, they are on sliders like any other glass door. Other than that, the space is perfectly comfortable for six adults and two kids. All sorts of wonderful toys and beach items as well. Highly recommend. Fantastic communication with the management company.
