'Stayed one night, arrived late. Hosts Jes and Eileen very friendly on arrival. We were rather tired and just stayed in. Jes cooked a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Enjoyed our brief stay. The other guests were great also. So a lively breakfast conversation was held. Would easily stay here again, a few days would give you a good break. We were pressured by time to head back home.'

'Large lovely house set in beautiful vineyard. Looks just like the pictures as advertised. Great air conditioning / heating available in all rooms, very comfortable. Also well equipped kitchen, and really convenient with laundry and dryer. Just some minor maintenance touchups needed (e.g. lightbulb in living room needs to be fixed) and needs a new kettle. More counter space in bathroom would be nice. '

'My partner and I travelled from Auckland to Matakana for a weekend away. We took my elderly mother with us and the accommodation for our trio was Perfect!! The Room was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The area is quiet and right in the river. The only issue we had was the mosquitoes- which was our fault for leaving the doors opened because the weather was so perfect!! The room did provide Bug Spray which we were grateful for!! We totally recommend this property!'

'Grafton Cottage was so fantastic we changed our stay from 1 night to 3 nights after the first night. Albie (owner) is very personable and accommodating - just basically lovely. The chalet we had our first night was a cute bedsit and had a good view out over the bay. Full cooking facilities, lots of hot water and a spa & pool right by the door. After the first night we loved it so much we asked Albie if we could stay another 2 nights and he had a 2 story chalet free for us which he only...

'Beautiful estate with a huge beach to yourself if you are up to walking 30 minutes to reach it. Stayed in a villa for two days but there was no replenishing nor housekeeping for the second day. The restaurant atmosphere is non existant and the receptionist could have been working at a youth hostel. No personnel on the grounds - very quiet.'

'Mooi huisje met alle voorzieningen. Twee pits kookplaat, waterkoker en koffie,thee, chocoladepoeder,zout en peper en voldoende servies,bestek.e.d in de keuken.Picknickset buiten en overdekte carport. 5 minuten rijden naar Taupo en 2,7 km van de Huka Falls. Er is geen restaurant voor gasten. Deze is er wel maar wordt alleen gebruikt voor bruiloften en feesten. De wijngaard is puur als decoratie voor de trouwlocatie.'

'Nice motel close to the Mitai Maori Village. We were able to walk the short distance to the show at the village. Nice size kitchenette and large room. '
