'Toen ik wilde inchecken om 1915 was er helaas niemand aanwezig. Na het bellen van het nummer werd ik 10 minuten later geholpen door twee hele aardige en behulpzame mensen. Ik kreeg een kamer upgrade, kingsize met balkon. Een ruime en schone kamer. Hotel ligt op een fijne centrale plek in Avalon met alle voorzieningen op loopafstand. '

'It was in a semi-convenient location, but at the top of a very steep hill. It always took a really long time to get our complimentary taxi to the hotel. The kitchen was large, but pretty dated. The walls were pretty thin to the neighbors as well. I did have to call at around 1am to ask the neighbors to quiet down (a group of rowdy guys). I think I saw staff only twice the entire weekend I was there. If you don't need anybody to be constantly on the property, that would be great. No beach towels...

'Loving staff always helpful. Room was clean. Its a quirky old hotel, lots of character. Bed was a bit lumpy. BBQs available, Vons market across the way, lush grounds, walkable to all the restaurants and pier, and they store your luggage.'
