Schiereiland Yucatán: Goedkope Vakanties

The check in seemed nice, we got a wet towel and a drink which was really tasty, the check in itsself lasted way too long, im not exaggerating when im saying it took at least half an hour. The room and the pools were really nice. We did a round trip and of all the places we've been to the staff in this hotel was the least friendly. There are red cabs outside the hotel. They charge like 3 times the normal price. Ordinary cabs aren't allowed to pick up people from/nearby hotel. If you try to catch one on his way out, they will tell you they are off service. We got a number from an ordinary cab driver, but he didn't dare to come to our hotel. This hotel stinks. The staff will tell you they have nothing to do with the red cabs, but surely they do. We also went to the steak restaurant. We asked for the tenderloin steak with no fat. -. - 1/3th of our steak was fat. The prices for the food are quite high and u have to order every side dish apart from your steak. So if you order a steak, you will get just the steak. We ordered the roasted potato, but it was underdone. Then when we got the bill they charged us a steak that was almost twice as expensive. At first they tried to tell us that we made a mistake, which i think is really odd. They charged us for something different than we had ordered, it was really that easy, but they acted as if they didn't understand. Took them about 30 minutes to understand, and after all the fuzz they still had the guts to try and charge us gratuity.

Locatie is goed en gemakkelijk dat het een parking heeft. Prijs kwaliteit ok. Zeer kleine en gehorige kamers. Wij hadden een kamer met een mini balkon aan straatzijde. Kunnen we niet echt aanraden. Een kamer met balkon gericht naar binnentuin zal waarschijnlijk een ander gevoel geven. Alles is verouderd. Kapotte uitgerafelde handdoeken met plekken op. Zullen wel proper zijn maar geeft geen fijn gevoel. Kussens op tuinstoelen bleven gewoon liggen als het (hard en veel) regende en waren daardoor niet bruikbaar. Potentieel maar veel ruimte tot verbetering.
