Azië: All-inclusive vakanties

After initial doubt about selecting the Privilege Floor over the regular Borei Angkor, we can say we do not regret our choice in favour of the PF thereby spending some extra money on a package deal. Clean,spacious rooms with excellent bedding and on top of it very welcoming, accommodating staff! Py and Judy (and all others) at the reception desk went beyond in making our stay fantastic and memorable. We already met with Py at Siem Reap's airport and during the ride to the hotel he did a very efficient check-in, which allowed us to go straight to our rooms. The private car with driver Visna was a privilege on its own: although the tuktuks are cute, in particular on hot, humid days it's such a treat to be picked up in an A/C car with fresh wet towels and cold drinks after having toured the temples. The PF hands you a local phone, so you can stay in touch with your driver. Visna knew his way around and is a safe, pleasant driver. Till about 3pm you can enjoy the all day breakfast and from 5-7pm there's happy hour in the PF's restaurant (which has a balcony). Talking about the restaurant, food, drinks and speed were great, but it's Sokmen who will neither one of us (nor any other guests) every forget. He's the one who makes you smile at least once a day. All the staff at the restaurant was very helpful and friendly though. Laundry service was excellent: laundry handed in during the morning was ready by the end of the day and neatly put on your bed. Fantastic pool to relax.

Je boekt op basis van prijs per nacht/kamer, die redelijk is... Maar dan begint het : verplicht hun transport te gebruiken aan 277,-$ pp extra, en indien je enkel ontbijt hebt, lunch en dinner menu aan minstens 65$ plus tax plus service charge, per persoon. Seafood platter : 165$pp,... De excursies en activiteiten zijn in dezelfde prijsklasse. Kwaliteit is okee, maar veel te duur voor wat het is.

Excellent resort. We missed our flight and the resort amended our booking free of charge. Rooms are spotless. Staff are all very nice. Food is great and lots of variety. The island is beautiful and the beach is kept clean. This place is 100% value for money. Maybe not the most luxurious resort at Maldives but for an affordable price u can experience a water chalet stay at Maldives. Only minor point would be the hardness of the bed... But a lot of hotels have this issue. I wouldn't hesitate booking at Veligandu again next time.

A beautiful tropical paradise with great rooms, well maintained island and beaches, beautiful opportunities for snorkeling and great food. The staff is extremely helpful and hospitable. Would love to return here someday!

Echt een bounty-eiland!! Wij hadden ongeveer de meest eenvoudige accomodatie en die was al flink decadent. Alles is uitstekend onderhouden, zeer vriendelijk personeel, parelwit strand, er wordt niet bezuinigd op handdoeken of een flesje douchegel, de mooiste vissen al heel dicht bij het eiland te zien, geweldig goed eten: op Kurumba krijg je waar voor je geld. Allerlei watersporten en excursies worden aangeboden, maar dan moet je wel aardig in je buidel tasten. Zelfde geldt voor de spa. Okee, het ligt dicht bij het vliegveld, dus er vliegt nog wel eens wat over. Daar kan je je aan storen. Voordeel: zeer snelle transfer van vliegveld naar het resort: dat is allemaal prima verzorgd. De ontvangst is uiterst vriendelijk en bij vertrek word je uitgezwaaid door een aantal personeelsleden: de betrokkenheid is groot!
