« Great base to explore IOW (by car), nowhere is very far away.Enjoyed visiting Godshill, Shipwreck Centre, Carisbrooke Castle, Newtown Nature Reserve, Freshwater Bay (great waves!), Cowes, Sandown, Ventnor and Shanklin. Also climbed Bembridge Windmill and had lunch at St Helen's beach.Had a boiler breakdown on first morning so had no hot water for 4 days, happened on the Friday so difficult to find someone to repair it. « Overall The Good Ships is a spacious, clean accommodation in a great place for easy access to the seafront and beach in Shanklin.It’s is let down however by some of the amenities provided, which is such a shame. The kitchen requires additional pans and general facilities. 2 x saucepans is not sufficient, a large frying pan and large casserole dish.The fridge is a large American style with water and ice dispenser of which neither of the work.The TV is old and needs updating, not being a smart TV...

« The eco lodge at Calbourne Water Mill was just the perfect location to enjoy all the facilities the Isle of Wight could offer. The lodge was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this lodge for any family to use for a perfect holiday. »

« A great location on an island with lots of things to do and explore. The cabin provided everything we needed for our family getaway, but if I was being honest the mattresses on all the beds left a lot to be desired and didn’t provide the best of nights sleep. A few bits of the cabin could do with updating, but overall I would definitely recommend it. »
