'Room was perfect. View from the room looking over the harbour. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing and the portions were large. No skimping on anything. Breakfast was really good and no pressure to rush. Will definitely recommend and return to this hotel if we can come back to Orkney. A big thank you to all the staff that looked after us. '

' Were shown to our room, which is in an annexe to Kirkwall Hotel. Room was very spacious with comfy chairs overlooking Kirkwall Harbour. Comfortable bed also. Overall would recommend The Shore. Only downside for us was that the blinds in the window were a poor fit & let in a lot of light, but then we do prefer a dark room at night.'

'The hotel doesn't have a own parking, the location is so/so and the outside of the hotel looks like there's nothing to it but don't judge this book by it's cover. The rooms and beds are amazing. You sleep sound, like sleeping beauty and the staff is very kind and friendly. Definitely a place where I would wanna go back.'
