I received no communication from the host about check in, less than 24 hours before arrival. I had to call Vrbo customer care. The host only spoke Spanish and had no record (!!) of my reservation. I provided all the documentation, and that, coupled with the call from Vrbo, convinced them to give us a place to stay. The apartment they put us in was very different from the one we paid for. We paid for one with a balcony and a view. We got one with windows that looked out to a very noisy parking lot. I had to communicate via WhatsApp with a host who only sent Spanish and I had to do all the translating. Very low effort and felt a little shady. The building itself was fine.
