The camels are judged on their eyes, mouths, height, weight etc. The owners enter up to 50 camels to determine the herd with the highest ranking. This is an experience in Bedouin life and culture. It is a long drive through the desert to what are said to be the highest sand dunes in the world, there is even a nice hotel nearby.

This is a perfect hotel if you like to explore all of Dubai. Location is great next to the metro, Hotel has a great breakfast and the pool is very pleasant. Sometimes the elevator is busy and some of the finishes in the hotel were not properly maintained (some things were damaged in the room). But... all the important things worked perfectly. Very comfortable beds, very big rain shower and spacious rooms. Price/ quality is excellent.

Enjoyed our stay at Canal Central. Just be careful with employees who provide incorrect information about excursions and taxi rides. The try to earn money behind the back of the management. And taking a taxi from the hotel is way more expensive then taking an original taxi in front of the hotel. Furthermore we enjoyed our holiday!
