Flats in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area

'We've been to Auburn multiple times but this was our first time staying at Foothills and it will now be our new spot to stay. The price is affordable and the location is great. We arrived Friday night and got checked in by Glenn who was super friendly and super helpful. He gave us history of the motel and let us know about all the amenities offered such as pool, ice machine, lounge chairs by the firepit and also informed us we can go to the bowling alley where they have food and a bar. 'The location is great but the hotel is dated and amenities are limited'

'There are local restaurants with great food, the staff was very nice and eager to help. The room was clean and well equipped with a fridge and microwave. Internet access was good.'

'Everything was great but I didn’t get the room I purchased! I was given a handicap suite with a queen bed and I was supposed to have a king bed'

'Beautiful historic hotel, but the AC didn’t work, and the room was hot. The hotel warns you at the thermostat that the climate control isn’t great and encourages you to open windows. However, two of the three windows were bolted closed, and the third had to be propped open with a closet hangar. The beautiful antique dresser drawer mirror pointed at the ground and wasn’t useable. Lastly, we were only given decaf coffee, and the staff isn’t available in the morning until 8am to assist.'
