'Surf Cottage exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything one might need and was well designed. The cottage was very spacious and tastefully furnished throughout. The outdoor courtyard area to sit in was an added bonus. Great position with shops, pubs, eateries and the sea front right on the doorstep. I would love to return for another stay. Thanks too for the Welcome Gift goodies, Richard and Fran.'

'The property was clean, and tidy on arrival, there was a lack of storage space for food, there wasn’t a microwave available, there was alot of wobbly bits, loose taps etc. the property itself was very clinical, for us the dining area was almost unusable due to the roof over the area being glass, and suffering from a greenhouse effect, there is also a shortage of curtains/ blinds. Location is ok and just a few minutes walk to the seafront, in a nice area'

'We had a good week with our dogs, two of which are getting on a bit now, helped enormously by decent weather. Whilst there are limited suitable off-road dog walks in the village (which is the only reason for slightly downscaling the location), it was easy to take them in the car to a wide variety of excellent dog walking venues, including NT properties, a number of beaches and the Weavers way. The cottage itself met our needs perfectly and we were impressed with the thoughtful provision of items...

'It was right on busy road with inconvenient parking as unloading was difficult. The carpets were filthy and the whole place smelt like someone had smoked inside. Heating difficult to control. Not a good experience would not stay there again.'

'A nice property - well located close to the beach. However, there were some issues which marred our visit - the Nest controlling the heating and hot water was faulty ( and wasn't replaced during our stay - the engineer hadn't visited before we left) so on occasions there was no hot water although we then found an immersion heater which we could use, the lock to the back doors didn't work with no key so we couldn't secure the property and until the lock was replaced we had to take our valuables...
