319, Thin Blue Tide, is a South Nags Head Rental Home with convenient beach access to the home. At milepost 18, this Outer Banks Rental Home features relatively less crowded beaches than that of the public beach accesses of Nags Head, yet this home remains only minutes away from the Nags Head Outlet Mall, restaurants, golf (including miniature golf), water sports, and so much more! South Nags Head features the Outer Banks Pier, housing a fishing pier and the Fish Heads bar and restaurant (which is very close to this rental home), and this area of South Nags Head also homes the Bodie Island Light House, Oregon Inlet Marina and Boat Access, and 4x4 beaches at the south-end of the island.

Great location! Close to beach and attractions.

This property was in a great location! Close to the beach (5 minute walk), on a quiet road, short drive to stores, restaurants, Jockey Park, National Seashore and Roanoke Island. This house had nice decor with a beachy theme. Overall was clean and comfortable however was missing a few extras that would really have made it great. No dishwasher or grill. There was a Keurig machine with no reusable cup - remember to bring K-cups if you want coffee. Missing some items in the kitchen that would have made it more convenient- crab crackers, extra tupperware for leftovers. The beds were comfortable but very loud. There was a beach umbrella and beach toys and a push cart to take everything to the beach - very convenient! Washer and dryer and outside shower downstairs. No linens, towels or paper products were provided. Overall it was a good, comfortable house aside from the missing items that could have made it more comfortable.

The perfect beach house for my family!

This beach house was absolutely perfect for my family. You can tell the owners take pride in the house. The decor was so cute. Most beach houses get cheap things so they don’t get broken, but this house thought about detail and didn’t skimp when decorating. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you’d need to make meals, even a keurig coffee maker. There was enough storage for us to unpack and feel like we were at home for a week. The location of this home was awesome. It was a quick drive to anything we needed and a short walk to the beach. This house had everything we needed including a washer and dryer and an outdoor shower. We are so thankful and satisfied with our stay!

Nice stay.

The home is located in a quiet South Nags Head neighborhood, just across the road from the beach. I traveled about 5-7 minutes by car to the closest grocery store, Food Lion, which offers grocery pick up for a minimal charge. We enjoyed our stay here. You never know what you will find in a rental home, but this one was just the right size and comfortable for our group of six. The pots and pans were good quality. There was an immersion blender, toaster, toaster oven, microwave, waffle maker and washer and dryer and a lovely basement shower to wash off in after the beach. The house was very centrally located in the OBX so that during that week we were able to travel North up to Corolla and then all the way down to the Ferry terminal at Hatteras without the trip taking too long. (We could have gone on the Ocracoke but just chose not to) What was less than ideal: We brought our own linens and towels, as there was an extra charge for those items at this location. (Maybe that’s a covid thing?) The home does not have a dish washer, which may be a deal breaker to some people. The twin beds were hard. The queens beds were very loud when you sat down or turned over at night but they were pretty comfortable. The walk to the beach was farther than the pictures imply, but it still wasn’t very far. We felt comfortable staying here and would potentially stay again if we return to the area.

Week in Lewes

This condo was the perfect spot for our stay in Lewes. It's a short walk from downtown and from the beach, and it looks out over the wharf with a great view of boats. We'd love to come back soon!

Would come back again!

Our first time at the outer banks and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Short walk to the beach, which was never overly crowded (like it is at the jersey shore), but was still very close to a ton of restaurants and other fun things to do. We definitely recommend doing a dolphin boat cruise with Paradise Cruises.

First OBX Vacation

This was our family's first vacation in OBX & we fell in love with South Nag's Head! While the weather was not perfect, there was a stubborn storm system stuck over the east coast, we did manage to get several days on the beach, which was just a short walk from our house. My sister traveled with us & The Thin Blue Tide worked out perfectly for us. We were such a short walk to the beach and within easy driving distance of restaurants, shopping & attractions we wanted to see. This cute beach house suited our needs perfectly. The only thing I would recommend to improve it would be the addition of a washer & dryer ( a real necessity at the beach) but otherwise the house was met all our needs at a very affordable price.

Cute and close to the beach but not cozy and comfortable

The home is cute well cared for and an easy walk to the beach. When we arrived, although the home is advertised as not pet friendly, there was cat hair on the bedding and all over pillows. I am allergic to cats. We immediately informed the management company who came right away to grab the bedding and brought new bedding because the bedding was not yet dry. The beds and pillows were not comfortable and the beds made noise every time you turned over. This home also lacks a washer and dryer which is a must for a family on a week long beach vacation. Despite the inconveniences we enjoyed our vacation immensely and the home met all of our basic needs and was in a great location.

Such a perfect house for a girls getaway!

A few of my girlfriends and I rented this house for a girls trip and it was AMAZING! The decor was so beautiful and it felt very homey. The beach was only a short walk away and not bad at all (especially considering I had a broken foot). I would definitely recommend staying here and we plan to rent the house again for our next girls trip! :)

Great place with a little room for improvment

We loved our stay at this house! It is in a great location. Close to shopping and a very short walk to the beach but not in the middle of the hustle bustle. The house size was perfect for our group. We loved the outdoor shower and wifi. We would have liked some beach supplies to use though such as a cart and chairs. Our biggest complaints would be the lack of a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Those two things would have definitely gotten this house 5 stars. The price was so reasonable though that we couldn't complain too much about missing those items. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely come back!
