Magical Holly Hill Cabin is an amazing place to relax
This place is incredible for its tranquility and its soothing and relaxing environment. The log cabin is simply very welcoming and beautiful. Very clean where there will be everything at your disposal. Everything is so well thought out! The decor, the little details of the place not to mention the farm cat called Mr Jingles. I visited many places places but I admit that this place will remain in my Number One choice. Thanks again to Kim, Randy and Jingles for their warm welcome. It was an immense happiness.

The ad says this property is pet friendly. We did not find that to be the case. The owners did not appear to like the fact that we brought to dogs. They fussed about the barking and said we should’ve given them more notice that we were bringing them. They also claimed That we were required to bring crates for the dogs, which was not a requirement in the original ad that we read. We are very dissatisfied with their intolerance for our pets.

Beautiful cabin on a private lot. The environment is very inviting and the cabin is beautiful. This was our 2nd trip up there for a break from the city, we will be booking our 3rd today.

Holly Hill Cabin
Perfect! Absolutely beautiful property, spotlessly clean, wonderful and gracious hosts, adorable farm animals, beautiful landscaping!! Nearby Mt Airy is a great place to spend the day…Andy Griffith Museum, Gertrude Smith House, so many unique shops, great local eating establishments. Make sure to check out Kim’s unique metal art sold at Mayberry Antiques!!!! Go hiking at Hanging Rock State Park and check out the five waterfalls. Can’t wait to return! Thank you Kim and Randy for a relaxing get-away!!

Perfect cabin for two people
We stayed here for two nights to hike and visit wineries in the area and it was great. There are two entrances to the property. One winds through a few homes/barns on the 50-acre property. The other is off of Holly Cabin Road. If you come in off of Holly Cabin Road, it feels like you are totally isolated, albeit with a wonderful view of donkeys, goats, and grouse. The cabin is very quiet and comfortable and comes with its own pet cat that stays outside and is very sweet. The only negative was the squeaky bed. We would definitely stay here again though!

Holly Hill Cabin is the best!
This was our second stay at this delightful little slice of heaven located about 10 minutes from downtown Mount Airy, NC. We stayed in the fall of 2023, and loved it so much we wanted to bring our whole family for a return visit. We stayed in the cabin, and our daughter and her family stayed in Holly Hill Farmhouse, a beautiful, eclectic, and fun 2-BR, 2 Bath home on the same property, also owned and lovingly cared for by Kim and Randy Hicks. It is a farm with miniature donkeys, Pygmy goats, guinea hens, a few ducks, and a resident gray cat. Our three grandkids, ages 11, 7, and 4, loved the place so much. They enjoyed getting to know Ben, Napoleon, Pixie, and Maggie, as well as the goats and of course, Mr. Jingles. We actually booked the farmhouse before it was “officially” on VRBO, so we are unable to leave a official review for it, but it is the coolest little place, and the farm decor is just perfect. Our girls cried at the thought of leaving their new animal friends, and they were headed to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, if that tells you how much they loved it. We will definitely stay here again and can’t recommend either, or both houses together, highly enough! Thank you, Kim and Randy, for sharing both your precious vacation properties with the rest of us!

Holly Hill Cabin
What a wonderful, beautiful, cozy cabin. Can't wait to stay there again. The hosts Randy & Kim were so wonderful. Treated us just like we were family. We loved Mr. Jingles the barn cat who stays at the cabin outside in his heated house. The jet tub was my favorite and such a treat to relax and get settled into the country farm surroundings. I would recommend this cabin to all. 100+ star rating.

Mayberry Cabin Get-A-Way March 14-16-2024
Owners Randy & Kim Hicks are amazing folks. The peacefulness & kindness we felt are truly beyond words & we wanted a place to feel safe. You could feel the presence of the Lord, just walking the property. To be honest, we both didn't rest well due to the mattress but, we didn't want to hurt their feelings by mentioning, due to my scoliosis & unfortunately my husband couldn't either. They were such a "blessing" to meet & I cried to say good-bye. Our intent was to visit Mayberry & see Pilot Mt. but, we it was so much more beyond that. Mayberry Weekend
Property was beautiful, goats, donkeys and hens, just a wonderful quiet setting. My wife has always wanted to go to Mayberry so we did , Cabin is great, beautiful , hosts Kim and Randy are great hosts and people, they go out of their way to welcome you and make you feel comfortable. We would highly recommend this cabin , will probably come back again.

Just WOW!!!!
My husband and I can’t even begin to put into words how much we enjoyed our weekend at this cabin! Everything about it is PERFECT! Randy and Kim are a very special couple and we enjoyed getting to know them. The cabin is so cozy and the farm animals are the icing on the cake. We enjoyed going to see them each day and they loved seeing us too! Then, there’s the cabin greeter that resides on the porch, Mr. Jingles the cat. He kept a close eye on us and we enjoyed his company. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful piece of Heaven here on earth!! We also toured their two bedroom cabin and it’s absolutely gorgeous as well! You will NOT regret booking this cabin!!

Spent a weekend in this wonderful cabin. It was very clean and well equipped with all tje necessities and then some. The owners really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a nice getaway and we will most definitely be returning.

I could not ask for a better experience. The cabin was very spacious and the pictures do it no justice. Equipped with everything including cinnamon bread, juice and the chocolate was a nice touch. The short drive to town’s scenery was just beautiful. We look forward to coming back soon.

Perfect getaway
I recently stayed at this lovely quaint cabin. If I could give it 10 stars I would! The cabin is immaculate, decorated so nicely with so much attention to detail, and it is so comfortable and cozy. There are majestic views of farmland and farm animals grazing that just MAKE you relax. The hospitality of the owners, Kim and Randy, exceeds all expectations. The kitchen has everything needed, the bed is so comfy, the jacuzzi tub is a great addition. There is accent lighting that adds to the lightness of the interior. There is an inviting front porch with comfy swings and a place to just “ sit and rock”. The owners are so generous and welcoming with treats and milk and juice. EVERYTHING WORKS in the cabin; the owners make sure of that. I felt extremely safe and because it’s pet friendly I was able to take my dog who made herself right at home in her bed by the gas logs. I cannot wait to return to this peaceful haven when all the foliage is lush and green. Even in the winter it’s such a lovely place. I’ve found my getaway!!! Thank you Randy and Kim !

Get-Way Cabin Mt. Airy
Beautiful location in the woods but only 15 minutes to downtown Mt. Airy where there are restaurants and shopping. Kim and Randy, our hosts, were warm and friendly. The accommodations were spotless and they went the extra mile to provide OJ, milk and bread for toast. We loved the farm setting with donkeys, goats, chickens, ducks and the cat Mr. Jingles. We will definately be back again!

Little Cabin in Mt Airy
This little cabin is located in a farm setting but oh so close to shopping and the tourist sights. We enjoyed watching the goats, donkeys, and Guineas. Although we did go see some of the sights, our favorite thing was simply just spending our time at the cabin. The owners are the sweetest people. We look forward to when we can visit again.

Excellent mountain cabin getaway
Many thanks to Randy, Kim, and of course the resident cat Mr. Jingles for a quiet, relaxing two-night stay. Everything was exceptional—the hospitality, the cleanliness of the cabin, the fun farm animals, and the flowers and unique sculptures which dotted the landscape. The cabin is secluded but close enough to the main house that I felt 100 percent safe at all times. Pilot Mountain is only 20 mins. away, and it was great to see it again after so many years. I would recommend Holly Hill cabin to anyone!

This is what we needed, away from the city for a couple of nights. The place was clean, beautiful scenery and had a place for our dog to run. Owners communicated well and were accommodating for our request. Already booked another small get away in April, highly recommend!

This property and owners cannot be beat!! Would not change a thing about it! We stayed a few days last year and immediately vowed we would be back and we will be back again next year if not sooner! Perfect Little Cabin on a Farm
We stayed at this beautiful cabin for two nights while visiting Mount Airy. It is an absolutely perfect one bedroom/one bath cabin. The decor is rustic and charming. There are cute little things to see all around the property, both indoors and out. You can tell it is a labor of love for owners Kim and Randy to keep the property in pristine condition for their guests. We enjoyed taking a little stroll a couple of times each day to visit with the farm animals. Our favorites were Ben and Pixie. We appreciated the little extras like a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread, Hershey bars, and flavored coffee creamer. Kim and Randy were great hosts! We loved it so much we have already reserved it and another little house nearby for another visit next April with our whole family. 😊

It was without a doubt the most pleasant place we have ever stayed. The cabin was beautiful and homely. The property surrounding it was well maintained enhanced with works of art some created by Kim. Kim and Randy were so friendly and did a great job making sure we had juice, milk, cinnamon bread and a chocolate snack once we arrived. Everything about this cabin was excellent! It was very clean & you would never know that it was pet friendly cabin. It was close to everything we wanted to do for our stay in Mt. Airy. Mr. Jingles the cat was a delight as well as all the other animals. I would absolutely give it a 10 out of 10 and would stay here again. I will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

Great place to unwind and relax.
This was our second visit to Holly Hill Cabin. Like our first visit, the accommodations were comfortable, clean, and quiet. The cabin is within driving distance of many great activities and dining options. The owners, Randy and Kim, are very friendly and allow us to walk around and visit with the many farm animals. The house mascot is a very friendly cat hanging around the cabin's porch. We had a great time on our vacation. The Holly Hill Cabins added comfort and joy to our trip. Five stars are not enough; they should get ten stars!

Home away from home
Perfect lil cabin away from reality but not too far away from everything and anything you may need or want. Cabin is immaculate with all the necessities you'll need instead of having to haul them there yourself. 100% better than any hotel and price was great!! Owners are great and a pleasure to talk with..... including the cabin mascot, Mr. Jingles, a very pleasant and sweet kitty.🐈

Lovely Cabin
We had been to this lovely cabin in April and right away decided to go back. We fell in love with it. It’s a lovely cabin with a beautiful porch area and on the side there’s a deck with table and chairs. Just a delight to see the animals out and about and obviously well cared for. The little touches of care and friendliness make Kim and Randy special indeed. It’s only a short ride to the Main Street with lovey stores and places to eat. We will be back. Ada & Colin McKerrell

Relaxing getaway
The cabin was just gorgeous and the surrounding were beautiful. We enjoyed our visits with Mr. Jingles, although he didn't care to much for Blauw (police dog). Lol We will definitely stay again. You also couldn't ask for better host. We were brought fresh eggs from the farm as well as juice and coffee. It was amazing. It definitely deserve all the 5 start ratings that it gets!!
