'Potts Point is a great area to base yourselves in in Sydney and Spicers is a great "hotel" - actually, that's too impersonal, it feels more like a home away from home. The reception staff are interested and attentive, our room (No.8) was well provisioned and superclean, we were in walking distance of interesting local shops and restaurants, and a short Uber to the CBD. Thoroughly recommend.'

'Definitely did not feel like a 5 star hotel as listed… don’t even include still bottled water etc. Front desk staff not very friendly. Room was clean but definitely feel like they skimped on some of the amenities. Room was listed to have record player and didn’t, only received after calling and asking. Rooftop bar was closed for a private event so I didn’t even get to check that out. Vip drink ticket was only given to me after I asked. '

'Bedroom had a particularly offensive smell that would not air out; I noticed later the carpet by the bathroom was coming off the flooring and I am wondering if there was some sort of sewage leak. I did notice staining mixed into the carpet design in the main room as well. Location is good, walking distance to most things you’d need. Golosa in the lobby is fantastic.'

'There had been a leak in the hallway just before our room and the carpet was wet. On the Monday night the dryer was on till 10.30, 11pm and it was so loud. We had a baby in the room so the next night I asked if it could be turned off and I got someone come and tell me it had to be left on. At least he came back and turned it off at the end of his shift as he promised. For two adults and a baby we had four towels, when we asked housekeeping for more they said we could only get one, I had to go...

'Fijn hotel in Woolloomoloo. Was hier in 2018 voor het eerst en had toen een hele mooie ervaring. Dat was het nu ook. Echter de tijden zijn veranderd. Nog steeds een zeer aan te bevelen hotel. Ietwat aan de prijzige kant, maar daar krijg je ook een mooie ervaring voor terug. Gelegen vlakbij de Botanische tuin, Potts Point en National Art Gallery in een rustige buurt van Sydney.'
