'The manner and attitude of the proprietors was brilliant. Felt at home, warm and welcoming, easy to converse with. Our stay was during the heatwave and staying in room 7 at the top of the house ? converted attic - was rather warm, and only a small window. However there was an excellent fan/cooler which we used to the full. Despite the warnings - I managed to bump my head on the beams several times! 'The staff were exemplary! Faultless. The rooms and facility was THE cleanest place I've ever stayed at. Food was good and reasonable value. Wonderful place to stay.'

'I would have given the hotel but for a couple of things that were missing from our room and I'm assuming every room. No mirror on the dressing table so no socket near a mirror for a hairdryer or straightners No where to put any of my toiletries in the bathroom. No shelf for toiletry bags. Just a small soap dish over the sink. Both easy and cheap to resolve.'

'Lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated. Very clean, a lovely lounge and breakfast room. Our room was a standard room, quality finish and comfortable bed. Our room was a little small but was fine for 2 nights, I'd book a bigger room for longer stays. Breakfast was good, although it would be nice to be offered more tea or coffee , toast etc naturally, it wasn't a problem to ask.
