'A neat affordable welcoming hotel in a quiet neighbourhood on the island of Zamalek. Moving around requires taxis while in Downtown or Dokki one might be closer to a metro. But taxis in Cairo are very affordable, only during part of the day the traffic is slow. Soon there will be a metro station on Zamalek too. 'Prettig ontvangst aan de receptie, waarna de koffers naar de (ruime) kamer gebracht werden. De kamer was ruim met een schitterend uitzicht op de Nijl. De airco (enigzins lawaaiig zorgde voor een fijn klimaat op de kamer. De bedden zijn uitstekend. Het ontbijt is goed met heel prettig personeel. Dit hotel is een aanrader. '

'Ich habe im Hotel New Star Zamalek übernachtet und insgesamt war der Aufenthalt in Ordnung. Die Lage ist wirklich top , sicher und mitten im schönen Stadtteil Zamalek. Viele Cafés, Restaurants und Geschäfte sind ganz in der Nähe, was den Aufenthalt angenehm macht. Die Zimmer sind einfach, aber sauber. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, allerdings könnte der Service an manchen Stellen etwas professioneller und schneller sein. Preis-Leistung ist okay, aber man sollte keinen Luxus...

'Though it was included, I didn’t try the breakfast so can’t review that part. The staff was very kind, helpful, and did not at all pester for tips or anything like that. They were also professional and helped me navigate something when I had to stay nearly an extra day. '
