Although it’s an older home, it was still nice inside. Pet friendly and family friendly. Bathroom, beds and linens all very clean. Everyone had a good time.

Wonderful vacation

We had a great long weekend there. My kids and hubby enjoyed fishing and crabbing right on the property. My favorite was the huge deck. I sat out there every morning, drinking coffee, enjoying the breeze and sunrising, watching the boats going out and coming back, etc. and the owner was super nice. He was very patient and helpful. He provided very detailed information to my questions, which ensured a wonderful vacation for us.

Had high hopes

I dont often give not so good reviews but felt I must for this property. This was on the waterway to the marina and offered little privacy but we booked fir holiday weekend so its understandable.The property is much older than it looks in the pictures. The deck is not safe as nails are sticking out and the stairs actually have dry rot. All the outdoor furniture is rusted and dirty. We did love the fenced yard for our dogs. The inside was clean but VERY old other than the couches. Just know thw restroom is not accessible without going into a bedroom.The air conditioner could not stay up with the weather and was miserable. Loved the fishing but woulf not return.

Loved it!!!!

This place is so cute!! The perfect spot!!! Loved the views and loved fishing here!!! Would definitely stay here again! I don’t know why there’s bad reviews previously! I have no complaints!! The lights outside, the balcony, the convenience of having a fridge up and down stairs! The owner had very good communication, responded back to everything promptly and was so helpful. Very sad to leave.

Perfect get away…

We thought this was the perfect cozy house for an extended weekend stay. We had friends a few doors down and our view of the canal and bay were amazing. There was plenty of room in the house, on the deck and a great covered downstairs area. It was perfect for our kiddos to fish off the dock. The house was clean with plenty of everything we needed. The property manager was so friendly going above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed. We will for sure visit again! You won’t regret your stay here!

Great fishing camp

We loved staying at this property. It is a perfect location for fishing. It is an older property that is in good condition and if you enjoy spending most of your time outside, which we do, it is perfect. Lots of room to fish and for any outdoor games. Even though there is only one bathroom in the main house, it wasn’t an issue for us. (Family of 6) There is an additional bathroom downstairs, but the room is not air conditioned. Great fishing camp and the host is super nice!

Fantastic location!

We had a great time! Our kids paddle boarded all the canals and into the bay. We fished under the lights at night and caught a few. It was a great weekend getaway. Very relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Expansive waterfront property

Our visit started out with some unfortunate mishaps; however, the property manager and owner were both super responsive. Our two dogs enjoyed the big, fenced in yard while we fished. We caught red fish, speckled trout, hard head and several others! Great proximity to the bay! The downstairs sink & counter was perfect for cleaning fish outdoors. Hands down, one of the best located houses if you're looking to fish and bring along your four legged family members!

Lot is amazing; lots of issues inside

The lot was perfect. Lots of space, fenced in yard, nice patios, and cute lighting. If you could stay outside the entire weekend it would be great, but we had issues with the upkeep and maintenance of the home. The 2nd restroom (downstairs) was unusable. The toilet was not bolted down to the ground and wobbled a good 3 inches if you sat on it causing it to be removed from the wax ring this causing sewage to leak all over the floor. It was gross and the room smelled as if this has been happening for a long time. My husband is in the plumbing industry and condemned that restroom and would not let anyone use it. This left us with one bathroom and one toilet which was a huge inconvenience. The only other working restroom is upstairs and you have to go through one of 2 bedrooms to get to it. So while spending time outside you then have to track through the house and a bedroom to use a toilet. Someone wrote a review on here in January that half the lights in the home didn’t have light bulbs. On our arrival in March we had the same experience. I am not sure why this wasn’t handled in 2 months. There was a package of light bulbs left but I had to conduct maintenance and change out the light bulbs I could. Mind you the house is mainly lit by lamps so light bulbs are VERY important. The only bathroom had the lights in the shower area out and was a dark hole to shower in. Almost all the blinds in the home were also not working and to block the sun/lights you had to individually turn each slat. Lastly, they had the thermostat (Nest) locked up and set on a timer setting with no way to adjust it in the home so we froze at some points and sweat at others because we couldn’t adjust it. I used to rent our home on VRBO and this lack of general maintenance, upkeep and repairs is horrible. I did not spend my weekend with my family calling the property manager/homeowner with these issues but hopefully they start to maintain their home better in the future. I am not sure who the 3 people are who are a part of this home. One name is listed as the owner, another lady replied to the first set of emails and then another answered the later emails and text me upon arrival.

Great location and friendly management

We were extremely happy with the property and our stay! The only issue we had was a lot of light bulbs out, but the property manager noted this and was apologetic and did not know this was an issue. Very understandable! The location is great and the fishing was fun! We love that they accept pets and that the yard is fenced. We will definitely stay here again!

This place was everything that we expected based on the description. We caught lots of fish and just enjoyed relaxing. We also enjoyed watching all of the boats coming by. Great place to stay. Will do it again soon.

Location, Location, Location!

Absolutely perfect fishing cabin style house in the perfect location right off the mouth of the bay/canal. Stunning views and sunsets with a very large porch to enjoy them on. Even better, they had a doggie/baby gate which was perfect for keeping our fur babies on the porch to enjoy the scenery with us! The fishing was awesome with lots of room to fish being that it is on a huge corner lot. We caught our record of 8 species this trip, catching red, both speckled and sand trout, piggy perch, sheepshead, sting Ray, croaker, and a dog fish! As far as the house, it was adorable with a total cabin feel, comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, and all the works! Oh… and the icing on the cake was the owner who was BEYOND helpful and so sweet to work with. Needless to say, we will be coming back for sure!

Stormy Stay

We enjoyed the stay until hurricane Nicolas landed. The house and amenities were great. The property owner was outstanding as they were concerned about our safety. Stayed overnight in a hotel due to impending storm surge. Returned next morning to no power. Stayed the night and next day no power. Decided to leave early. We would definitely try this again, hopefully with no hurricanes. Next time we will have trip insurance if during hurricane season.
