I rented this house for 3 nights over New Year’s for 4,300, expecting high quality, but the experience was very disappointing. Even before check-in, we discovered the listing was misleading. It mentioned a hot tub/spa tub, which was a key reason I booked, but the “hot tub” turned out to be a jetted tub in the master bedroom—not the outdoor hot tub we expected. When we checked in on December 30th, the house was in poor condition. The floors were dirty, walls had scratches and cracks, and the guest bathroom mirror was filthy—I had to clean it myself. The upstairs bathroom had mold on the ceiling, the kitchen appliances were cheap and worn, and there was no laundry detergent—just two empty containers. The dining table was too small for our group, and the living room was poorly furnished. The couch seated only 2-3 people comfortably, with a few uncomfortable chairs. For a holiday weekend, this made it hard to relax and enjoy our time together. The worst issue was in the master bedroom, where a ceiling lamp fell at 7 a.m. while people were in bed. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but when I reported it, the host accused us of deliberately causing the damage and threatened us with police and legal action. Her behavior was unprofessional and baseless.I cannot recommend this house or its host. It was an overpriced, stressful experience with numerous issues.
