'Staff was super friendly. They took us to the ski gear rental shop and back again to return the stuff. Their English was ok, enough to explain what buses to take, recommend pistes, etc. We even received a small gift when leaving. I recommend reserving the 3 meal course.'

'The hotel offers a great deal if you wnt to stay very central in the Shiga Kogen ski resort. The staff is very accomodating. Not everybody speaks fluent english, but the try their best… There is a free pool table, communal hot bath (men and women seperate) and ski locker for the use of the guests. Free toiletries can be collected from reception. The rooms are not cleaned (we stayed there for six nights), only upon request. When we entered the room, it was well cleaned though. 'What a fantastic place to stay. Convenient location from the train station And easy acces to snowmonkey parc. The food was amazing And the service level as well. They have an amazing bar on the roof. You sit with -15 in heated plastic iglo tents zipping from your drinks. The onsen Spa is big on the upperfloor overlooking Yudanaka And the mountains. 'Fantastic location, right opposite on of the ski lifts - with beautiful views of the mountain from our room. The room was simple but all we needed with toilet/sink and kettle. The heater was efficient, keeping us warm. The Onsen and sauna were fantastic and clean - a welcome relief from the cold to relax our tired muscles. 'We were here for a couple of days and had a wonderful stay! The place is kept clean, and it sits right by the ski hill. Nothing beats a soak in the hot public bath after a day of skiing. Also loved the breakfast and dinner! The gem though was the staff, who were incredibly friendly and went out of the way to help us. '
