'My 12-year-old son and I loved our stay in the serenity loft. It was the accommodations closest to the bathroom and shower house and very centrally located to all the farm has to offer. 'Cabin and property it is on is clean and well maintained. The walking trail is part of a local park so there are occasional walkers passing by on the trail. Overall it’s a good solid place to stay unless you intend to venture out beyond a one-mile radius. The surrounding area is repressed and comes with elevated risk as you pass though it. Crime rate statistics for Henderson are elevated compared to other areas in NC and I wish I would have researched it a bit more before bringing my family...

'This place was more than we hoped for by far. We were traveling for the Phoenix BFL and chose this place because of its close proximity to the lake. We messaged Keith and Kathryn to make sure there were electric outlets outside for us to charge batteries etc and about parking as we had 2 boats in tow. 'Host was very accommodating and responsive with texts. For example, where to get a hearty breakfast. If I recall correctly, the listing does not state mini-frig which it has. This was nice to have, however, if I had known beforehand I would I brought in a take order to be placed in the frig. There were other amenities not listed, that were included, like the chocolates.
