Lovely, clean pet-friendly waterfront place! Beds could use new mattresses but overall it was well-kept with cute art on the walls and plenty of comfortable seating inside and outside! The dock was great for just hanging out or fishing a bit. We rented a pontoon boat one day and were able to dock at the rental house to check on the doggos halfway through our boating day. The neighborhood was super quiet, and great for walking our dogs. Appreciated the fans in the bedrooms even though a/c worked very well! Thanks!

AC worked great! Kept the house very cool. The water at the dock is indeed very deep. I tried to touch bottom many times but could not. Only one negative about the property. We caught many catfish right from the dock but none of them were over 20 lbs. We had a great stay.

Cozy Lake Getaway

This was the perfect lake trip for us! We spent our time on the boat, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing off the dock. The home was cozy and had what we needed. We would love to come back again in the future!

The property was good. The rental was very clean and had ample necessities .The water is deep for fishing even though weather wasn't favorable .The only issue for us was getting to and from the property because of huge mud holes .Thankfully we had a four wheel drive.

Weekend Getaway!

This lakeside property was just what we were looking for on our weekend getaway! The dock was the main event where we relaxed, fished, watched the sunset and was even able to hook up our jet ski. We already want to go back! Nancy was a great host and communication/instructions were clear.

Refreshing!

This property is everything it says it is in the description. If your looking for a small cozy home with a million dollar dock and swimming spot, then this is the place for you! As described, it is in a busy boating lane, so be prepared for waves. We come to Lake Gaston several times a year and this home is now listed under my “favorites”. I recommend taking a morning kayak trip around the perimeter of the Lake. Lots of wildlife!

Cell service is very sketchy. Especially with AT& T. We had to drive about a mile to make a call or send a message. That is not listed on rental site. Host sent email regarding but we did not see email before payment made.The Lake and area very serene & quiet.

Cozy Lake House with good access

The location of this place is nice, but be aware of traffic that comes by the boat house. We carried two Seadoo's, which there was ample room for on the boat house dock. Make sure that you bring plenty of bumpers and protection for your ski, because if it's a busy weekend, there will be plenty of traffic with no regard to your tied up ski's. Wake boat, regular boats, whichever, there will be wakes. We are use to staying in an area that does not have so much of this, so this could have partly been our fault, not bringing enough bumpers for the boat house. If you are going to do a VRBO, maybe make the place a little more VRBO friendly. The boat house could use some sprucing up, nails poking up, boards that need repairing, loose cleats. The house itself is very clean, it just looks like someone from 1980 was living there and never left that age. Coffee maker had mold from what seemed to be weeks ago, which is not on the owner maybe, but just the cleaner. We had no trash bags on arrival, but was an easy fix with a visit to the store. The hot water heater needs replacing. We were just two people and found ourselves running out of hot water after the first shower. I think the place is a new rental, and it just needs to be more "lakey". Not trying to diss the renter, just trying to point out some things that could make it better.
