Vind je ideale hotel in Darjeeling

'The rooms were clean and the staff were really helpful. They need to make the hotel more friendly for the people with disabilities. They need to put side rails up and make the hotel more wheel chair accessible. Furniture is old, basically to maintain the colonial heritage, but still the furniture could polished to look new. Otherwise no complaints. They just need to make it more friendly for the DISABLED since it’s on the top of a hill.'

'Property is located near to mall road, though bit walking is required to reach there, overall it was comfortable stay. Food was excellent, very tasty, hospitable staff, vintage type property, Its one of oldest in darjelling well maintained.'

'We booked this hotel for its heritage and its connection to various historical figures. What we hadn't counted on was such a warm welcome. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble, and when we were asked what we would like for breakfast on the evening before, we requested some things that weren't on their breakfast menu (We hadn't seen it at that point)and they went out and bought them specially. We honestly cannot wait to visit again.'

'The staff are lovely and helpful and hotel is quite nice. Its location is also very central. The hotel room was quite cold, however, due to gaps between the windows and the window frame. The hotel offers heaters but these are reasonably pricey. I was able to manage in November but I suspect it would be miserable in December and January. Also the hot water supply was inadequate. It took 20-25 mins to heat up and I found that I had to turn up the heat every minute to keep it reasonably warm.'

'Good property to stay at very good location. Staffs are polite and helpful. Only problem I faced while checking out that they could not find my payment which already made during booking the room on hotels.com.There must have some communication gap between hotel and hotel.com causing unnecessary delay in checking out.'

'The room was damp, and moldy smelling. All the bedding was damp and wet. The pillows were visibly moldy and unclean. It was a struggle to get the staff to provide new and clean and dry bedding. There was no heat source in the room. The hot air blower provided was unusable as had electrical sparks during use. There was a light that flashed all night even though the power was switched off to the light. The manager and front desk staff only wanted us to leave so that they did not have to deal with...

'The hotel gave us the room we didn't book for. The reservation manager took our money for deposit but returned only half because he spent it. If we would have got the room that we booked for it would have been nice ig. The hotel location is good. '
