Relaxing and easy
It was nice quite and peaceful. Check in was super easy and we had no problems. The owner checked in with us and was easy to work with and quick to respond. House was clean and well stockwith dishes and cooking utensils. I would stay here again.

A little slice of Paradise outside of Dallas
We LOVED our stay at Danielle’s home! It was spacious, light, comfortable, and sooo private! Being surrounded by the beautiful green pastures and trees was so nourishing and it was a great place to land back after spending a day or evening out in Dallas. But our very best day was the day we didn’t go anywhere and just enjoyed the natural beauty and the spectacle of the total eclipse! Sitting on the back porch and strumming guitars while listening to the frogs and looking at the pond was another distinct highlight! The hot tub was a delicious bonus! Danielle was an incredibly responsive and helpful host.,I cannot say enough good things about our stay!!

Love The Big House
This was our second holiday stay at this house. The kids love the loft. The kitchen and dining areas were spacious enough to accommodate all our meals together (eight adults and 3 kids). Plenty of room for the varied activities of our group: games, puzzles, fishing at the pond, but slow internet speed made watching movies difficult at times. Cozy fires in the fireplace were a plus. We had a lovely peaceful time and Danielle, our hostess, was very quick to help with any question we had. Highly recommend!

Nice property
the host was wonderful about answering my many questions about items available in the house. We were traveling a long distance and we needed to know what we needed to bring with us. Only problem was a difference in what VRBO said the payment was and what we had agreed upon. We scheduled for 5 days and the VRBO bill kept saying 5 days plus an additional night. I talked with 3 different people at VRBO with no success. I gave up.

Extraordinary time
Nothing but praises for this peaceful setting! Beautiful home with the best front porch overlooking a rolling lawn to this darling pond. What a view! Hard to imagine how close it was to town and having such a peaceful country atmosphere! Nature sounds especially at night were extraordinary and we loved the fireflies with background sounds of the peacocks off in the distance. The Host was just the best! Definitely worth every dime…we will be back!

Beautiful Texas Retreat!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. We loved the country setting, yet being so close to shopping and restaurants. The home is beautifully decorated and comfortable. We had cooler weather, so we enjoyed the hot tub several times throughout the week, and took walks along the gravel driveway leading up to the house from the main road. Our beds were comfy, and we loved the openness of the kitchen area and living room. This retreat was just the respite we needed from work/school and city life in the 'burbs. Thank you for sharing your property with us. We will definitely be back!

Family trip
The place was nice until we were going to put a pizza in the oven. It was nasty we had to clean it. The doors didn’t close much less lock so no privacy. Then of course the kids were in the attic and the door comes down and slams on my nephews head. Not happy about that. That needs to be more secure. Needles to stay not staying there in the future.

Thank you for your feedback on the house. I apologize for the issues you had with the doors. The Farmhouse has had ongoing issues with the foundation, and we recently had several of the interior doors adjusted to close properly. The contractor will be coming out this week to adjust the doors once again. Regarding the hatch to the loft, there is a chain that attaches to the full bed next to it to keep it from slamming shut. It’s pretty difficult for young children to unhook, but I will definitely look into it.

Farm house review
We were happy with the location of the farm house -it was very private- and the fact that we were able to bring our dog. The house was pleasant and nicely decorated. The two things we were most concerned about is the landscaping. It is extremely difficult to navigate especially when we came home after dark. Safety is a pretty huge issue. Another thing we had a problem with was various insects - wasps in the loft, moths and our granddaughter even found a scorpion on top of her suitcase that was sitting on the floor.

Thank you for your review and insight. We do have a quarterly pest service. I asked him to come back out to spray for wasps and scorpions. Per his report, there are no active nests, all of the eves and areas inside and outside the house have been treated (which should take care of any scorpions). Although the house is just a few miles from the city, it does sit in the country, with a pond, and on 50-acres so it will never been completely void of bugs or critters.

Spacious, Comfortable Retreat
We enjoyed this property over 4 days including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Our family included 4 households and the house was sufficient for our sleeping arrangements. The kids particularly enjoyed the loft and the ladder that provided entry to that space. The owners were very up front about a few quirks of the house due to foundation issues, none of which diminished the comfort of the house. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious and we enjoyed all of our family meals together comfortably. The owners were great with their communication. Highly recommend.

Perfect for our 2 families
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was perfect for what we needed. My family and my sisters family fit comfortably. The kids loved sleeping together up in the loft. I would say only the big kids were allowed up there though, it was too scary for my little ones to climb. My only note would be that the doorways and doors to the bedrooms are slightly off. Some had gaps and therefore don’t stay closed without using the bar at the top that’s been installed. I could not use the bar on the room that my 2 year old stayed in so it took a little ingenuity but I found a way to close the door from the outside and keep it closed. All in all the property was just great! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Lovely Country Property
The check in process was very easy, the home was beautiful, and the beds were very comfortable! The pillows were so comfortable we had to check the type and buy some for our own home. We loved that every bedroom had a private patio door and lots of natural light. We loved the selection of board games that were were able to play. Despite the property feeling very private and having lots of land, shopping and restaurants were close by and only a short drive away. Thanks so much to Danielle for making our stay so great!

Wow. Is the best way I can describe this place. Danielle is completely amazing she was super accommodating and let us have our wedding ceremony here. The property is absolutely amazing, peaceful and beautifully kept. It gives the country secluded feel with not being far from everything else. The inside was perfectly clean and well kept. Great shower and amazing relaxing hot tub. It was spacious enough for everyone to get ready. This was the perfect spot for our wedding and couldn’t have picked a better spot.

This property was perfect!
We booked the property for a weekend family get together (family in multiple states.) It met our need perfectly. It was close to lots of things to do (although we mainly hung out and drove the 2 min into Aldi for groceries!) The kids fished and make s’mores and played soccer and football outside. We cooked most of our meals (warning- if you are a group there is only one skillet and one griddle - hardly a criticism!) The fridges and appliances were all new and worked perfectly. Loved the ice maker and keurig. The loft was fun, but we had some younger kids so we didn’t trust them to sleep up there. Owner was super responsive and nice. We had everything we needed. Great experience!

Country living close to the city
This was a great last minute find for us. Our son had a high school fishing tournament on Lake Ray Hubbard. With the close proximity to the lake, we were able to get him and his teammate on the lake but head back to the house to spend the day in a quiet country setting with a great view. The house is clean and well appointed with everything you need to prepare meals, comfortable beds and linens and enough space to spread out. The owners have made great use and maximized the space in the upstairs loft which would be a great area for kids to hang out. My son and his friend enjoyed fishing the pond in the evening after their tournament and the morning before we checked out. Danielle was very informative in her communication before and during our stay. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again in the future.

Very cozy farmhouse. Amenities are nice and the hot tub every morning was amazing! The only downside was the dog hair on the carpets and the couch and the spider webs inside the house. I know it's a farmhouse, but it could have used a thorough cleaning. That aside, we would stay again in a heartbeat. It's quiet. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space. The owners were also very responsive. With a little more cleaning, this property is easily 5 stars.

This property was more than we ever kmagained! Gorgeous farmhouse tucked away in the most serine beauty Texas has to offer! From our morning coffee on the huge porch, watching the sun come up, and gearing the peacocks next door. Most relaxing ever! The Avery’s are great hosts as well!
