We stayed in a Premium Studio with 2 Double Beds for 4 nights as a family of 3 adults and 1 child. The front entrance looked dated, while the lobby was clean but just average. Thankfully, the room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a microwave, mini refrigerator, Nespresso coffee maker, toaster, and electric kettle. The downtown location was excellent, and the staff were friendly. We appreciated the individual toiletries, the $10 Beyond Coffee voucher for skipping housekeeping, and the complimentary breakfast vouchers for C|Prime. Unfortunately, we only used them twice—one missed breakfast was our fault, while another was because the restaurant stopped seating at 9:30 AM for a private event despite the posted 7:00–11:30 AM breakfast hours. Housekeeping consistently left only 3 bath towels for our party of 4, and we frequently saw housekeeping staff using the guest elevators, making them feel busier than expected. Being close to St. Paul’s Hospital, ambulance sirens were also noticeable. Overall, Century Plaza Hotel offers a great location and comfortable rooms with thoughtful amenities. However, the dated entrance and a few service inconsistencies kept us from being fully impressed. We had a pleasant stay but would likely choose a different hotel on our next visit to Vancouver.
