  • You're driving through the Appalachian mountains, and you stop to get out and see the highway view of the blue ridge parkway. But does this actually let you get an insight to how beautiful the land truly is?No, you have to get out there and find the view that fits for you. That highway view is something that everyone see's just passing through and it isn't special. Getting out into the mountains like this, is one of the many ways that i love to get away from things and get that "me time". I suggest that everyone get out and take some time to get away from technology and become close to nature.

Beautiful Cabin!

Our family had a wonderful time. The cabin is beautiful along with the surrounding scenery! Super private,check-in was great and communication with the rental company was easy and quick. I would recommend bringing some cleaning supplies, we could not find any. Two items we really needed were cleaner for the kitchen after cooking, and a brillo pad for scrubbing the pots. Love that they allow pets, we had our Golden Retriever. They even left bowls out for him. We highly recommend! it!

A Dreamy Getaway with Stunning Views

Wow—what a gem of a stay! From the moment we walked through the door, it was clear that this property was meticulously maintained. The house was immaculately clean, setting the perfect tone for a relaxing and comfortable visit.The kitchen was well-stocked, and we especially appreciated the Keurig coffee maker—a perfect solution for our group since some of us needed that caffeine kick while others preferred decaf. Thoughtful touches like this make all the difference!The beds were incredibly comfortable, with just the right amount of cozy blankets to snuggle into at night. And the towels? Soft, fluffy, and super absorbent—just what you want after a nice shower.While we didn’t have time to enjoy the fire pit, fireplace, or hot tub (wedding festivities kept us busy!), we certainly wished we could have. The breathtaking views made every moment at the house feel serene and picturesque.One small heads-up for future guests—there's no hair dryer! My husband (who booked the place) didn’t catch that detail, so let’s say there was a moment of mild panic before one of my friends saved the day with a backup from her car. Husbands, take note—pass this info along to your wives!All in all, we loved our stay and would absolutely return. If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-kept, and beautifully located retreat, this is the place for you!

One of the best VRBOs I've stayed in. Detailed instructions on how to get to the property (it can be tricky), very clean, and they even decorated for Christmas! Would love to stay again.

Perfect size and location

We love staying at this property. This is our 4th year staying here for an App State football weekend. It’s unique to find a 3 bed/3 bath. Perfectly situated at the end of a dirt driveway, beautiful views, hot tub and fire pit area. Convenient 20 min drive into Boone but easy to head back down 421 to head home and avoid traffic. We always stop by the Todd Mercantile to get a sweet treat from the bakery.

September Vacation

We enjoyed this cabin. The view from the porch and the hot tub were fantastic. The beds could use a little TLC as far as comfort. They were clean but could use a mattress pad or egg crate. There are 3 bedrooms with bathrooms so that’s a plus and they give you a great starter kit for amenities such as trash bags etc. Overall.. we loved our stay!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

This was a weekend getaway with friends and it was wonderful. The cabin is very quaint and had everything we needed - great selection of cookware, dishes, towels, etc. The view was incredible and while it wasn't far from town, it felt very secluded and private. I would definitely stay there again!

Relaxing Getaway

This place was just what my husband and I needed. View was incredible and I loved sitting on the porch enjoying it and the sound of the creek. Hosts stayed in touch throughout the trip. Boone and West Jefferson are nearby. Cabin was secluded and had everything we needed for a long weekend. We can't wait to stay here again!

Wonderful place

The house was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed for our 5-night visit. The view from the deck and the hot tub is pretty awesome as well. We’re in that area a few times a year, and this will be the first place we’ll check for our next visits.

The cabin is cozy and charming with a spectacular view and nice little touches. We were fortunate to experience a decent snowfalll and single digit temperatures, the cabin was warm and we definitely utilize the fireplace.

New River Paradise

Quiet, secluded slice of heaven (could use more attention to cleanliness). Amazing view! Yard crew invasion w/o notice! But can’t argue with landscaping. Hot tub needs to go. Minuets from River Girls Fishing, experts in providing memorable New River experiences. Tubed 2 days back-to-back. Canoeing will be perfect in cooler weather. Trip to West Jefferson less than expected. Restaurant reviews too promising; lacking quality. But cute, unique shops entertain.

A Week Away

Convenience to Jefferson/W. Jefferson, Boone and Blowing Rock and all points north and south was excellent. He had a wonderful time enjoying the fall colors, meeting with old friends and making new ones and then a relaxing evening every day at our cabin in Todd.

Loved this cabin.

We absolutely loved this place. It was everything we hoped for and better. It had all the amenities we wanted and the view off the deck, hot tub and fire pit were amazing. I will definitely come back to this place.
