'Really beautiful house, renovated to a high standard, and retaining lots of original character and charm. Really well equipped, very comfortable, and set in a brilliant location for walking around the cathedral, the castle, exploring the historic little streets, doing some shopping and trying out the independent cafes and bars. Would point out that the ceiling height is quite low at the sides in the top bedroom as it’s in the attic space, so any taller people would need to be aware of that, but...

'The house is exceptionally well presented, top quality finish and very comfortable. Everything needed is provided and the grade 2 listed building has been very well refurbished although the stairs can be a little tricky if you've got any mobility deficiencies or you are of advanced years.'

'Overall the property was clean,moden and had everything needed for our stay.However,the pull out bed was not v user friendly and uncomfortable which was disappointing!I think the lodge was catered more for 6 people particularly the sofa area,not enough seats.There was also a issue with the back door as in it was stiff to open.We enjoyed our stay and loved relaxing in the hot tub,many thanks'
