NEW THIS SEASON… fresh paint in and outside, updated bathroom, new outdoor shower, hammocks to relax under the deck and many little things! Come on down you will LOVE IT! Wonderful ocean side cottage with amazing canal and sunset views that feature an open floor plan ready for you and your family to enjoy and make memories. Pirates are my passion and so is making a comfortable place for you and your family to truly enjoy the serenity of Carolina Beach. From it's old fashion board walk to the close proximity to Wilmington everyone will find something that they love about coming to the beach! Just some of the amenities:
1. Enclosed Outdoor shower with HOT water!
2. Storage space downstairs - bring your bike! It also has a variety of beach essentials and toys.
3. Huge deck with great views of the canal. There is a picnic table for dinner or lunch and chairs for relaxing. The breeze is amazing.
4. Open living area with HUGE sectional sofa and dining for six. Look at the photos - it doesn't do it justice.
5. Expanded cable with Wireless Internet.
6. Open kitchen with stainless steel appliances.
7. Expanding pots and pans for cooking meals at home. Save $$$!
8. Front Porch to RELAX as the sunsets
9. Decked out Pirate Bathroom - arrrrgh.
10. Washing Machine and Dryer.
11. Covered parking.
12. So close to the beach.
13. North End Minimart for all those missed items only a block away. They have great coffee. Oh, you forgot butter - check out the store!

16. Double master with queen size beds in both rooms. One has a TV with expanded cable.
17. Pet friendly (just be nice and pick up after...poop isn't pretty!).
18. Board games just in case you want some family fun!
19. Across from public access deck on the canal - you can watch the boats go by on Dingy Dock.
20. A yard with gas grill - cook out!
21. Two Swings below to enjoy the ocean breeze

Super easy check in and out. Loved the property and how close it was to the beach. It's also very difficult to find a house with a dog who is a barker, but since this is far enough away from others he could bark his heart out. Loved the porch and the house was very beach friendly. Parking was the easiest I've seen at Carolina as well.

Location is perfect - walkability score is 10/10. Quite neighborhood with friendly people. Home desperately needs deep cleaning and is in disrepair. It's neither attactive or comfortable. Couch is dirty & stained. Bathroom rugs were filthy. Walls, cabinets & doors are a mess. Bathroom fixtures are coming out of the wall. Water roaches were really bad. Just very disappointed and cannot recommend.

We would love to stay here again

Jane was great with communicating with me before our stay, during and after. Thank you Jane! I was able to text her my suggestions on improving the property. She was available and quick to respond. We stayed here during the recent Tropical Storm Ophelia (?), 9/21/23, and while we were indoors for a couple of days, the place was insulated well, and it was pretty neat to listen to how the weather played out. Keep in mind to those expecting a ‘castle’, that this property has more of the beach cottage vibe. It was what we wanted. There were three adults and our mini dog, a service dog, and it helped having a washer n dryer on-site. The coffee and mini store behind this property, made me a couple great omelettes! Thank you for sharing your property with us!

Great Stay

This property could not be more convenient to everything we needed. It is in a great location. We are a family of 4 plus our dog. Kids are 5 and 7. Beach access was so easy and the main drag/boardwalk are minutes away. The property provided everything we needed.

Disappointed!

The location was amazing. Great views, short beach walk. CONS- The floors were swept but not mopped (kids feet were black after walking around) The couch was covered in white dog hair. Luckily I had enough sheets to cover it. All of the couch pillows were stained. I put all of them in the closet while we were there. I’m surprised more complaints weren’t made about the cleanliness. Fridge had smudges all over it, the bathroom smelt of urine and mildew. The shower curtain should be washed, and liner should be changed after a few stays to avoid the smell (you can see mold on the bottom of it) Also the washer does not fill up with enough water to wash a load. The umbrella was broken. I asked the owner to please drop one off the next day. She asked if I could go buy one and she’d reimburse me. I ended up renting each day because it was easier. Also, it isn’t my job to run and get one for her to have for future guest. Unprofessional! I chose this house so I wouldn’t have to bring beach toys or run out and “grab things” I have 2 small kids.. There were only 3 chairs provided for the beach. Only one was a “beach chair” the other 2 were wooden folding chairs. I could go on but you get the point. The house is probably cleaner now than it was before I got there. Been home for 2 days. My youngest daughter and I are both sick with the stomach bug. I assume it’s from the poor cleaning jobs that are done. Zero disinfecting or bleach used here. LAZY cleaner. Don’t recommend.

Amazing location

You cannot get a better location for the price. You can see the beach from the balcony and a corner store half a block away. Very quiet and safe neighborhood. Great house for small kids or babies.

Beautiful sunsets over the canal & easy beach access made this a great place to stay. Nice roomy accommodations. We loved the deck on warm days, tho with all the breeze it tends to get dirty out there

Good trip. Beautiful place.

The house is in an amazing spot. It is a very nice location and the layout is nice as well. The wrap around porch is amazing. The packet that the owners send is slightly confusing. There is also a lot of what appears to be the owners items at the house which when having kids can make you nervous. For sure would stay at the location again though.

Easy transaction. Simple directions and wealth of information about the locale area. only complaint is that the decking had several nails coming loose ( with toddlers hard on barefeet): restaurants in local area do not do take-out and we had a hard time finding food to go. owner indicated to bring own linens/ towels but there was plentiful at the residence. Great Great location. Very quiet ( soundproofed, didn't really hear the busy street).

Great location

The property was great! The best view for the morning sunrise and afternoon sunset across the sound. The porch was great eating breakfast and enjoying the views. Loved having a small local store in the backyard with anything you may need or forgot. Small walk to the beach and loved that it was with a lifeguard on duty each day.
