'Limited breakfast options but what a place to stay. Incredible. Would certainly come back'

'Staff was excellent'

'Great communication and recommendations from staff for restaurants, etc. Breakfast was incredible both days. Nice to have a La Carte instead of the usual buffet. Very fresh and tasty. A wonderful experience.'

'A fantastic accommodation in the centre of Matera. Clean, fresh, charming and affordable. We had our own balcony with a lovely view. Our host Mimmo was very nice and very helpful. Highly recommended!'

'We love the greek theme and how well designed the hotel is. Staff was nice and helpful! The location is amazing, in the middle of the old city. The rituals are very interesting and should not be missed. What could be better? - our Bed mattress was too hard and very noisy. Wife would wake up every time I had to go to the restroom during the night. - swiming pool / jacuzzi was a nice touch, but water was not hot enough - room is somewhat dark and takes some time to get used to.'

'L’emplacement etait très proche de la ville avec possibilité de stationner la voiture dans un garage. Faire tout à pied est un gros plus'

'I loved it all, cannot wait to go back and stay a bit longer'

'Amazing room, breakfast and location. We love it!!!!!'

'We had a fantastic stay In The honeymoon room, it was warm, comfy, and the bath was amazing. Breakfast in bed before leaving was great. Parking is difficult in Matera but if lucky you can get a space right outside like we managed too. Antonio was great throughout our stay. '

'Fantastic experience from the get go. Communication, hospitality & excellent concierge. All delivered in a friendly & knowledgeable way by Simona. The accommodation was stunning & flawless & presented in such a way that complemented the beautiful city of Matera perfectly. Highly recommended!'

'the room was clean. Breakfast was coffee tea and espresso. Biscuits and fruit and cereal. The place was hard to find with GPS. From main road turn right at Egpt gas station go 200 yards up and on your left.Owner very helpful with restaurants and about the Sasses. The Sasses are about 500 yards down the street on your right.'

'Heel mooie plek midden in het oude Matera met prima voorzieningen en een heerlijk ontbijt. '

'Fantastische locatie om Matera te ervaren, uitzicht werkelijk prachtig.'

'Excellent'

'Prachtig hotel, aardig personeel en uitstekend gelegen. De pianist tijdens het ontbijt is overbodig'

'Buena ubicación Un baño excepcional Excelente atención por parte del anfitrión (Giacomo) Limpieza y orden 1000% Volvería sin dudarlo'

'Excellent location on a 15-20 minutes walk to old town Matera. Parking in front of the gate in the street is free. In the morning it will be rather full, but when checking in around 1500 o'clock almost empty. Beds, room, bathroom and shower were spacious and clean. No noise from other rooms or from street. All pictures of location are accurate, so we didnt make new ones. Many cats in the garden, but not in the house. Breakfast comes with different coffee options, tea, yoghurt and fruit juice....

'I stumbled across this hotel whilst looking at a 5* property. I’m so glad I booked here. The owner Roberto and his colleague Francesco were so welcoming. The room I booked was fabulous. The wellness room with jacquzzi and Sauna on a separate level. The communication before arrival and check in was brilliant. Car parking booked and the hotel was easy enough to find. The views from the hotel of the sassi are amazing. The breakfast was so nice, something for everyone. On checkout we had a good chat...

'The best breakfast ever! Friendly staff, most beautiful stay in the cave with an extraordinary view. A place to come back!'
