Prachtige locatie!! Zwembad valt tegen! Beter kan je een dagje jungle fish doen! Er zit een kippen boerderij grenzend aan het hotel. Wij hadden er last van. Nachten niet geslapen. Zal niet overal hoorbaar zijn. Maar net wel aan onze zijde!

Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in kupu kupu barong, eten en ontbijt geweldig. spa zag er mooi uit maar was veel te duur! jammer dat naast het hotel een vuilnisbelt is die ontzettend stinkt !

Duur hotel met zeer goede service
Ga alleen naar dit hotel als je niet de goedkoopste kamer boekt. De goedkoopste kamers liggen in een complex met uitzicht op het zwembad en dus niet op de vallei of rivier. Het complex is erg gehorig en de kamers zijn dan vrij duur voor wat je krijgt. Het is allemaal wat verouderd. De service in het hotel is overigens super. Erg vriendelijk personeel met service hoog in het vaandel. Omdat het verder een vrij luxe hotel is zijn de spa en het restaurant ook prijzig dat is jammer. Daarnaast rijdt de gratis shuttle naar het centrum tot 17 uur en niet tijdens lunchtijd. Voor een taxi naar het centrum betaal je idr 60.000 De kamers die wel uitzicht hebben op de vallei zien er overigens fantastisch uit.

Goed hotel, veel luxe
Goed hotel. Veel personeel dat veel klaar staat. Mooie ligging, prachtig uitzicht op rivierdal. Restaurant is in orde, goed eten. Maar dat kun je bijna overal op Bali (en goedkoper). Goed als je uit het gedruis van Ubud wil zijn. Jammer dat de shuttles om 17.00 uur ophouden.

We were lucky enough to get a free room upgrade. All the staff are friendly. The view is spectacular. Highly recommended.

We had a private pool with the river view villa, and it was beautiful. The villa was cleaned, great view, and amazing customer service. The staff are always friendly and will do whatever they can to accommodate your needs. Our water is always stocked, and when we need extra, they bring you extras. On top of that, you have your own dedicated butler that you can easily call by dialing #3 on your villa's phone. The free breakfast buffet was amazing, especially compared to the free breakfast that these American hotels offer. Personally, Kupu Kupu Barong set the standard for free breakfast at a very high level for me now. If we go back to Bali, we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in one of the River View Villas which was lovely. Amazing view and lovely plunge pool. The hotel itself was a little lacking in facilities and a little tired in areas. I was very disappointed that despite it being a L'Occitane hotel, the actual L'Occitane shop had no products available during our stay.

Our stay at kupu kupu barong was beyond amazing. We were stunned at how wonderful our room was (with its own plunge pool) and loved the very friendly staff. We only ate at the restaurant once for dinner which was pretty good, the breakfast buffet had a good variety but f Balinese and “western” food. But the best part of our stay was our butlers Sugi and Sumadi, not to mention the gentlemen I called “everywhere guy” because he was always there when we needed him (I’m so sorry I forgot your name). They were both friendly and attentive. They predicted our requests, offered great tips and went above beyond for our needs. I can’t wait to have an excuse to go back.

Got a moldy room, pillow was mildew smelling, bed left us sore. Food was not the best. Pool was sad. Advertised there was a hottub but there wasnt. Room was not clean.

The internet never worked. The room that was given to us smelt like mold. After inspecting, we found mold. The food options was not good. The staff was nice, thats the only good thing i could say about the place. Not worth staying at. It ruined out trip even though we made thw best of it.

The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome. The rooms are beautiful and spotless, but are a bit frayed around the edges due to wear and tear. The breakfasts are superb also. This hotel is built on a slope though so there are many stairs to navigate, although you can get a buggy from your room to reception if required. Dinner and cocktails were great and the tandoori restaurant does a brilliant curry. We booked a private tour around the area with the hotel and it was just brilliant also. The hotel also has a daily shuttle into the centre of Ubud. But really, the staff at the hotel made our holiday very special. Oh and I forgot to mention their complimentary afternoon tea. Perfect.

初日から、バスタブのお湯が出ないエアコンからの水漏れあり、また水ボトルの栓抜きが無い等問題があり。バスタブのお湯については最後の夜に少しは温かいお湯が出るようになった。全体的にお客を受け入れる準備確認が出来ているのか疑問に思ってしまう。レストランは日本食のかんばんは有ったが、営業停止中であることのインフォメーションも無かった。部屋はベッドルームにトイレが無く、一回のフロアーまで移動が大変だった(夜は特に)。レストランのメニューを充実させてほしい。

Wow what an amazing experience. We got the river view villa with a infiniti pool (rm#35) and it was above and beyond our expectations! We cancelled our plans for the day just to stay and enjoy our room! The room even came with a butler (named Tukey) who went above and beyond to make our stay a lovely experience. Whenever we return to Ubud we would definitely want to stay here again.

Warning, be aware of the rats!!!!
If you don’t mind rats/mice in your room. Please help yourself! The hotel is located close to a ricefield. Rats likes rice. They also seem to like runnuing around on the roof and getting into the houses. We also had some encounters in the restaurants. So just be aware if this is not your thing.

Start off by saying, I booked a villa for 3 nights and relied on the photos for my booking. When arriving to the hotel the staff was very nice and friendly. We were taken to our villa and our room didn't quite look like what we booked, we were tired and ended up sleeping. The next morning I contacted the staff about our room and asked why we stayed in a room that we didnt pay for, and they replied with saying that the room we booked wasnt available and we had to contact the hotel before our arrival to make sure we are staying at the room we paid for/ LOL WHATT??? The villa we stayed at was a 50 dollar difference a night then the one we paid for. I ended up asking for a refund and leaving after one night to a different hotel. Overall, this hotel wasn't for us. Ive never had an issue with booking a hotel and ending up staying at a different room then what we paid for.
