'There was a large sticky spot in the carpet and a leak in the ceiling in the shower. I reported the problems and they said maintenance would look into it. With 2 issues in the room, I was disappointed they didn’t move us to a different room or at least comp the room. '

'Hotel was not a $222/night hotel. Barely worth $100. Convenient to event. However, toilet seat wouldn’t stay connected on the toilet, the fill valve on toilet failed continuously without manual intervention, and could not maintain water temp in shower. TV connection constantly failed and had to be reset. For all this wonderful lodging, they charged an additional $100 to my card for a damage deposit. Hotel is old and has not been updated. 'My stay at this establishment was an unmitigated disaster. 1st the picture of the room and building online is doesn’t correlate . The room was a mess, with dirt and grime everywhere, and the air was thick with a foul smell. The carpet looks like it was changed a decade ago. 'Staff was very nice at check in. The elevator was not working which was rather inconvenient - they could not accommodate me with a first floor room but did switch to a second floor room. Room was small but cozy. Linens were fresh and clean - bathroom was also very clean. Was a good room at a kinda expensive rate but all hotels on the Kansas City metropolitan area have raised their rates due to the impending FIFA World Cup games.'
