'This place looks like a nice hotel on the website, but is just a bed & breakfast! The owners live in England and leave the management to a lady who talks all the time, but is nowhere to find if you need her and is not even in the house between 10 p.m. and the next morning, so at night you are all alone in the middle of nowhere, 30 minutes from Stellenbosch. All you get is a mobile number you can call in case of emergency! This does not feel safe at all, despite the huge electrical fence around...

'Simply the best first night in a foreign country experience we've ever had. Jayne and Le Roux are the perfect people to work in hospitality and the attention to detail was unbelievably outstanding. The whole property is absolutely amazing and it's far more than just a hotel - the experiences offered from the meals to the wine tasting to the runner duck watching (has to be seen to be believed) are fantastic and they set the bar for the rest of our time in South Africa very high indeed.'

'Absolutely loved pretty much everything about this place. The staff was super friendly and accomodating. The room was great. Very spacious, comfortable, clean, plenty of space to put clothes away (big closets). The bathroom is massive with seperate shower and bath. One of the 2 showerheads wasn't working very well, but it didn't bother us as we used the other one. The hotel pool is not very big but a good size to cool down in the summer heat.
