B&B in Newport

'We stayed overnight for my husband’s birthday. Spa treatments were great for each of us and we made use of the pool and jacuzzi for an extra charge. The meal in the Blok was exquisite!! Brandon served us and was very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. In fact all the staff were friendly and helpful over and above the usual service you find anywhere else. There was plenty of choice at breakfast - well worth the price. The Hotel was tastefully furnished and decorated with quirky...

'Ruime schone kamer, bed kraakte luid bij elke beweging. Continentaal ontbijt was voldoende, tegen toeslag goed full English breakfast dat ter plekke bereid werd. Geen diner/avondresraurant. Op loopafstand weinig activiteiten en restaurants. Receptie grotendeels gesloten, behalve bij check-in. Goede eigen parkeerplaats, ligging dichtbij snelweg die je ‘s nachts niet hoort.'

'Booked here because of its proximity to Bristol airport but it didn't disappoint. Ample parking, nice beers and food (pity they had ran out of steaks!). For early risers they prepare a continental breakfast the evening before so you can always get something no matter at what time you have to catch your flight. Wouldn't mind to come back and be able to try those steaks.'

'Very far away from town centre, no shops around, supermarkets a bit far away. No shower, and not even plug on the bath, just an old towel. Expensive, 50 per day, for that price you can book at Travellodge with toilet inside the room and in conditions, plus maybe breakfast included. The only good thing was ability to cook'

'Stayed in cabin 3, and despite reading some recent negative reviews, we were very happy with the room. It was clean, well stocked and the view over the lake in the morning was amazing. Breakfast was very nice and had lots of variety. Our only small gripe was the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Mattresses are subjective and we were only there 1 night. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay there again. It’s also only 25 minutes from Cardiff centre. '

'I have stayed here twice before. The welcome from Lyndon is great. The breakfast is freshly cooked and plenty of it. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom was clean. However the wardrobe was in need of repair and the fridge had old food in it. The bedside cabinets had a layer of dust but I base my review on comfort and hospitality '

'Torlands was a lovely place. Nothing was too much trouble for the hoist. They made us feel at home and their house is beautiful. It was very quiet and the views from upstairs were beautiful. Delicious breakfast. We would definitely stay at Torlands again. '

'I booked this place knowing little other than it was close enough to Cardiff for us to stay after the Bruce Springsteen concert. It was very well appointed, with a well equipped kitchen / dining room, spacious wet room, large bedroom and lounge with a sofa bed. And a hot tub in the communal garden area! One point that is not related to the accommodation that I wish I’d known - some of the roads are very narrow and as it’s a very hilly area there are a few hairpin bends which I found difficult...

'La collocazione è perfetta, con una passeggiata in un verso si arriva in centro, nel verso opposto al Newport Transporter Bridge. La struttura è nuova, pulita, sicura. Mi è stato gentilmente concesso il check in anticipato, cosa che non tutti fanno! L'unico aspetto che rivedrei sono le pulizie: bisognerebbe che le stanze venissero rifatte, se non proprio quotidianamente almeno ogni 2 GG...per brevi soggiorni ok, per quelli un po' più lunghi inizia ad essere un disagio! Per il resto perfetto!'
