'The host family is super nice. The rooms are clean. The bed was small but comfortable. Hot water was spotty, and the shower was not ideal, but it got the job done. Overall, I loved the neighborhood- great food, coffee shop, and easy to Uber to the main parts of Quito and Cumbaya. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. '

'They did not have my reservation, but then checked me in and said all is well. In the morning they demanded that i cancel the reservation to pay (???), and insisted that i pay cash and declined to give a receipt. Claimed it is electronic, took my email, but never sent me anything.'
