'Hoewel een kort verblijf van 2 nachten, een prima tijd gehad in het in historische centrum zeer centraal gelegen hotel. Ook van het straatverkeer geen last, mede omdat de straat relatief smal is. Bijzonder was dat die Zondag verplicht binnenblijven was vanwege de census( volkstelling) Uitsluitend militairen en politie op straat. Echter met het fijne hotel en de goede maaltijden was het niet echt rampzalig. Ook was het bijzonder dat het hele land vanaf vrijdagmiddag tot maandagmiddag drooggelegd...

'Fantastic stay at La Basilica Quito. Great location with good security, very friendly owners and staff. English spoken. Very clean and nice rooms, comfortable beds and bathroom with all amenities. Some of the rooms are located in-house, which makes them a bit stuffy due to lack of ventilation, but this is minor. Right in the hart of Old Quito at 5 minutes walk from historic square with cathedral, museums, presidential palace, and also the National Basilica. '

'The rooms were huge! The staff was super nice and helpful and when we had problem with our room, we were offered a new one without asking. The sauna and steam room are pretty neat, but it would be great if there would be some kind of warm relaxing room within the sauna area. The breakfast was pretty good too! Even though I would love more cheese variation. All in all great hotel would definitely book it again! '

'Very good value for money! Starting from checkin staff was amazing, friendly and warm, I felt home! Room is clean and room service is amazing, the guy on the room service is super helpful despite the language differences he was able always to communicate and keep the room clean with full amenities. Breakfast doesn’t have varieties and no much to eat for me other than coffee, cheese and turkey, there are other few options and fruits for others but no complaints given it’s a free breakfast already...
