'We absolutely loved our stay here. From dining under the stars by candlelight in the national park to waking up in the heart of the bush in our gorgeous accommodation- it was magical. Breakfast in the treetops was an unforgettable experience, and the entire setting felt like something out of a dream. 'The tents are a bit old, but OK. The camp looks super nice in the evening, the have petroleum lights everywhere and a fire. Staff always tries to help you and the food is really good. One big downside. There is a hotel next to the camp. During the safari they arranged for us we had a great guide and spotted two leopards! They play very loud music whenever they want. Our last night from 23:30 untill 05:00, so we hardly could sleep. I called the manager but he could not stop the music...'

'Wat een leuk en spannend hotel! Als je aan het zwembad ligt zie je de wilde buffels een paar meter verder in het water liggen, af en toe zagen we zelfs een krokodil voorbij zwemmen. Zelfs in het hotel kan je dus wilde dieren spotten. De kamers zijn zeer aangenaam en ruim. Het ontbijt was top, er was een ruime keuze van zowel de lokale als de westerse keuken. Wij zijn fan van dit hotel, zeker een aanrader !'

'Een kleinschalige accommodatie waar je jan genieten van de rust, het heerlijke zwembad, het zeer vriendelijke personeel en heg heerlijke eten. De kaart is niet super uitgebreid maar alles wordt vers bereid en met zorg opgediend. Een goede plek om deel te nemen aan de safari in Yala National parc. '

'Fantastische plek om even helemaal tot rust te komen, dichtbij Yala natoinal park. Zal zeker aanraden terug komen! Heerlijk zwembad, erg schoon en oog voor detail! Fantastich management!'

'Absolutely beautiful property. Right on the beach with easy access. Hanuman langur monkeys were right outside the room. They were so cute! Room had poor lighting, but everything else was perfect! Hotel next door has a superb buffet- best i have ever eaten in terms of variety! Access road was bad and there was no place for our driver to stay so he had to find his own lodging.'

'Het wordt gerund door drie fijne mensen. Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Er wordt nog volop verbeterd aan de accomodatie, maar het is nu al zeer de moeite waard. De kok is geweldig. De meest simpele gerechten zijn super smaakvol en beter dan de lokale restaurants! '

The room was really nice and clean with an amazing view of the surroundings. The food was 10/10 with a selection of both local and international options. The owners helped with arranging a jeep for the safari and were ready to help with any other requests. I would highly recommend staying at the property if you’re going for the Yala Jungle Safari. '

'Wij hadden dit hotel in “Tissa” gekozen, als tussenstop van Ella naar Galle, om van daaruit Yala te bezoeken (Bundala is ook mogelijk). Het hotel is niks op aan te merken, en als er iets is, wordt het gelijk geregeld. Tissamaharama is verder niet zo boeiend, dus blijf hier vooral niet te lang hangen. Tip: doe een boottocht over Tissa Wewa (2,5-3k Rs), heel veel mooie vogels en kans op een krokodil(letje). '
