the quality of this rental was poor at best, no smoke detectors, no wifi, constant construction, the pool was murky and the property over all was not safe, with vagrants walking through constantly. They are also building new buildings around this one, so be prepared to wake up to power tools at 7am for at least another year....
Very funny (unpleasant smell in the room), floor board loose, no swim towels, deck door would nit close unless it will picked up by the handle. Everything else was ok in the room
My husband and I stayed for a short trip and the place was very clean and well stocked . It did smell a little smoky in the place even though itâs no smoking . But overall the place was nice and I would stay again
Easy to get to with parking right outside the unit. Up a couple flights of stairs and quiet spot overall, with a comfy bed and a nice little balcony to sit out with your coffee (we appreciated the coffee supplied, and didnât need to cook but could have with a full kitchen). Construction work nearby started early in the morning but we are early risers so that didnât bother us. We would stay here again.
There was construction going on across the street from the condos. That made a lot of noise throughout the day. We were on the top floor. No elevator... Three flights several times a day was a little exhausting. Got locked out on the patio! Thank God i brought my phone out there or we may have spent the night out there. Property rep came to our resuue thank God for.
Stayed full week from Monday till Sunday. Very quiet every day even on the busiest weekend days. Gets you away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown. Very easy walk to Broadway during the day light hours. Definitely Uber after dark though. Pool was awesome and all the people there were great. Nice river views.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and both our birthdays on this trip. We were only a 20 minute walk to everything we wanted to do downtown. It was amazing. The people at Grand Welcome were very helpful as well. We had car trouble the morning we left and they helped us to find a mobile mechanic to fix our car. The whole experience was fantastic!!
Good- While the location looks a little rundown and you may have to pass a range of homeless people on the walk to downtown, it IS walking distance to Broadway and the Germantown area. That was its biggest appeal as you get to walk along the river to downtown and I felt safe enough. The patio is nice overlooking the river to sit for a morning coffee or night cap. Pictures are accurate. We always had a parking spot. It did have the basics to cook a simple meal or heat up leftovers.
Bad- while we believe the place may have had a quick clean, it could use some deep cleaning. Again, not the best area. Very basic apartment.
There are obviously much better places to stay, but the price point is why we stayed. It met our basic needs for a short weekend trip. They did give us the wrong Wi-Fi information but they were able to resolve it in a relatively timely fashion. I would only recommend staying for a short time period if your goal is to primarily check out downtown.
The condo was comfortable and sufficient; however I'd like to point out a few things for your information for future guests: Passcode provided did not work; had to call customer service. The room smelled like smoke. Dining chairs are too short for table. Balcony was filthy; slidng door difficult to close (grooves full of dirt). Power outlets loose in living room. Wifi network & password did not work; had to call customer service. The broom is disgusting (I can provide a picture if you need it) and no dustpan provided.
The name, Riverside Roost, made me think it was going to be more of a cozy place. I wasnât expecting a condo in the middle of town with all the construction work going on. But it actually worked out for the best because we were close to all the venues that we wanted to visit. It was also remarkably quiet there. Good thing we are in pretty good shape, as we stayed on the third floor. Donât think that was relayed to us.
My daughter and I stayed for five nights. We read a bad review on the River Roost by someone who had stayed there in August. I would like to dispute what they had to say about the accommodations. We were delighted with the condo. We had trouble with the TV and called for assistance and a new Sim card was brought over the next morning. Although the location of the condo was about a mile from Broadway, we walked it several times and felt safe. An Uber ride from downtown was about $10 with tip. We would definitely stay there again because it had everything we needed even down to the kitchen which was immaculate and had all up-to-date appliances. I highly recommend the River Roost for anyone who does not want to stay in a hotel downtown where itâs pretty noisy.
Great place actually just perfect felt safe not in the crowded area quite and peaceful except for a tug boat on the cumblerland river or a freight train going by. Pretty cool. Love it would go back
I prefer not to use Uber or Lyft so, I got quite a bit of walking in. This place is on the edge of Germantown near the District. Overall nice place, clean, on 3rd floor.
Only issue was wifi did not work and was hoping to get some work done. Mgmt did respond but, owner not available. To me it seemed a mix-up in the network name and password. Oh well if in general area and all you need is a one bedroom give it a try.
We received no welcome packet to even get into our condo. Called for an hour straight with no answer, finally got one and was able to enter the condo. Placed smelled like an old folks home, sliding door didnât work, couldnât stand on the back deck (they have never cleaned it by the looks of it). Place came with 2 towels and that was it. The floors were DISGUSTING my friend had to reclean EVERYTHING. Of course in Nashville you arenât going out all day and all night, after a late night you just want to lounge out. Wouldâve been nice but there was NO WI-FI and barely any service. Couldnât even watch tv since it was all streaming channels. Litterly watched QVC channel the entire time. Called multiple times and asked for an answer and they IGNORED ME THE ENTIRE STAY!!! When I called Victoria hung up and refused to answer my calls. Asked to be compensated for the horrible stay and oh guess what, still no response from them. Hands down worst stay! To make it better, this place was 1000% on the WRONG side of town. Sketchy people everywhere, my friend and I got followed back to the condo and thereâs NO SECURITY ANYWHERE. 3 cars got broken into while we were there and the guy who followed us did it again. Seriously do yourself a favor and DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS TRASH COMPANY!!! STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE AND COMPENSATION!!!!
