'Ryokan Hakuhou allows for a very traditional japanese experience. A traditional room, neatly kept and traditionals baths. Do note that the showers are not private but open like the baths. The hotel is in the middle of the city with all conventient places no more than 5 minutes walking.'

We were taken there via the stairs, but later learned there was an elevator that my bother and I (79 & 81 years-old) would use to avoid the risk of falling, made more likely by slippers that kept falling off. Sleeping barely an inch or two above the floor made it a real challenge to get out of bed; you have been warned! Note that there is no small refrigerator or microwave in the room.
