401 - Dog-Friendly Rental - minutes to Beach Access, Dowdy Park, and YMCA

The Briccetti Cottage brings back the nostalgia of the Outer Banks from an earlier time. Wooden interior, tranquil surroundings, and a spacious covered deck for enjoying those outdoor moments regardless of the elements. The home is also dog-friendly, so bring along your furry friend (at a nominal fee and limit to ONLY 1 Dog) and enjoy spending time with the entire family. The Briccetti Cottage is just a short walk to the beach, where you can easily access a public beach access that also features an on-duty lifeguard during the in-season.

Being located in the heart of Nags Head, 401 is in close proximity to fishing piers, shopping, restaurants, a movie theater, numerous historic sites, and so much more. There's also a brand new park (the old Dowdy's Amusement area) built within walking distance of the home.

And don't let the antique nature of this home mislead you, the cottage is constantly updated and cared for. New for 2016: All new interior doors, new dishwasher, new TV, new box spring, mattress toppers, and bedspread, "antique" hutch for the kitchen, and rocking chair for the living room, and new A/C system! As for 2017, all new carpets have been installed through the entire home!

* The YMCA is a short walk from this home and offers an indoor pool with child's pool, outdoor water park, gym, basketball, racketball, billiards, and much more with a nominal fee.

* This house allows ONE dog for an extra fee of $175 plus tax. If bringing a dog, please contact Cove Realty so that a pet spray may be set up after your stay. ** To keep rental costs down, this OBX home does not provide linens. However, a linen package can be provided for an extra fee. Wonderful location!!! Close to beach access with a boardwalk right to the beach, which was great for our pull wagon. The house was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was very cooling, which is important to me. Highly recommend!!!!

Great location and price!

We loved this cottage! The location was excellent, walking/biking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops, etc. easily drivable anywhere you wanted to go. A big bonus that the intersecting street that would take you to the highway (or the beach road) has a stop light and crosswalk. Some have mentioned that the cottage is “outdated” but we actually found the decor to have a lovely vintage vibe. Honestly there was nothing else we would’ve wanted from the place, and it was so lovely to have drinks on the covered porch at night.

Perfect weekly rental

Two close blocks from the beach(quick walk) and no crossing the major highway! Also a perfect public beach access with bathrooms and showers at the crossing. Located perfectly to all local actvities, target and foodlion. Dowdy Park was perfect for some hoops by the kids. Everything you need for a weeklong stay but bring your fav cookware. We had to grab some at target, only stainless provided and that made it tough for cooking. Loved the eclectic decorations. Perfect place!

I would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. 1 block from the beach and the park is right around the corner, which my grandbabies loved. I will stay there again. The deck needs to be upgraded.

The house smelled like cigarette smoke upon arrival, a major turn off to my girlfriend and I. The property was listed as non-smoking and the smell was highly irritating to my girlfriend who only quit smoking several months ago. Cove Realty's response was to send out a guy with some sort of aerosol spray can. The "solution" wasn't entirely effective and sending out the Fabreeze can dude was the full extent of their apology. We loved the house and location but probably will not be returning to a Cove Realty property.
