Museo de San Roque

This resort is absolutely gorgeous, clean and well-maintained. He had the junior suite swim out, which was amazing. The dining staff was so friendly and accommodating, probably the best dining service I've experienced in Mexico. The food was good. I like that all the restaurants are near each other, so you don't have to search for them in different parts of the resort. Unfortunately not all restaurants are open daily and a couple you need reservations for, so we didn't get to try the Japanese restaurant. At Ocean Burger, the restaurant at the pool, we saw a worker handling food without gloves-grabbing chips with her bare hands and putting it on someone's plate. Needless to say, that was our last day eating there. The music at the pool was very repetitive and could use more variety. At check-in they attempted to charge us an additional $140 for a room selection, although we never selected our room. After several minutes of debating, the front desk removed the charge. The last night of our trip, it rained for 15 minutes and our room flooded. The hotel was quick to resolve it and moved us to another room within 20-30 minutes. Our least favorite thing was them trying to pressuring us to listen to an upgrade/timeshare presentation. It started to feel like harassment. The rep continued to push after we said no several times. She saw us on our way to breakfast one morning and even tried to ask us then, Overall, I'd give this resort an 8/10.

The hotel is new and immaculate. We were treated like royalty. Foods were fantastic. The Gem of Cancun!
