Excellent Stay at Lake Norris

The home exceeded expectations and was even better than in the pictures. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our party of 8. Views were amazing. Gunner was great to deal with. Would stay again!

The house was absolutely stunning. The location was nice and secluded (the only neighbors were very friendly). Cannot recommend a stay here enough.

Perfect for a Large Family

This rental exceeded expectations! The location was perfect, we felt like we had our own private cove to float and kayak. The house and grounds were very clean. Highly recomend bringing a sxs to get down to the boat dock. We rented the pontoon on a day with poor weather. The host was very gracious and let us modify the reservation. We will definitely be back!

Awesome house and location Gorgeous, convenient and lots of fun for all ages and big family.gatherings. We also rented a pontoon and it was great too! Planning our next trip! Highly recommend.

The walk down to the dock is ridiculous…there needs to be stairs and a landing then stairs and a landing and so forth.. anyone who is elderly would not be able to do that gravel steep walk..also the bottom of the stairs from the lower porch needs a cement pad so you don’t feel like you’re going to fall down… house was great but the outside has some safety issues.

Beautiful home

Beautiful home, well stocked kitchen and plenty of seating both inside and out. Nice dock with seating and in a good location for everyone to swim, float, play and relax. 8 Kayaks allow everyone to explore together. Great home for large gatherings.

Wonderful Place!

This property is not only beautiful but also very clean, spacious and comfortable!! The lake view is amazing!! Like others have mentioned the walk to and from the dock is a little rough, but do able…. We certainly got our exercise going up and down! Still highly recommend and we would definitely stay again!

Family Vaca - 2024

The house is amazing. Definitely pay attention when the reviews mention a STEEP walk to and from the dock. We brought a side by side to take everything/everyone to the dock each day. Gunner was great at answering any questions. The neighbors were so nice and helpful. We even met Michael, the owner one day...super nice person. The dock was amazing and was the main reason we chose the house. We brought a boat and 2 jet skis and had no issues with space at the dock. It is literally a 1 minute boat ride to Bubba Brews. Everything about this trip was amazing. I highly recommend.

Great home with a view!

This was a fantastic home and a great location on Norris Lake. We have stayed at a few locations on Norris Lake and this home had the best view of the lake and surrounding area as it sits on a hill/ridge with very few other homes around it. We had a family reunion over the Thanksgiving holiday with 8 adults and 3 children and we were very comfortable. The home had all the amenities needed in the kitchen, baths, etc. including kayaks. The host was very responsive and even went the extra mile from a customer service perspective to put up a Christmas tree for the holidays, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. The description and pictures of the property are accurate, so just be prepared for a steep driveway and access to the dock. I would recommend this home and location.

Perfect Lake Vacation

We had an absolute fabulous time here! The house is spacious and clean and had a well-stocked kitchen that allowed us to cook there the whole time. My feedback for future renters: plan on cooking your meals in. There are not a whole lot of restaurants around you. We stopped at Costco in Lexington on the way in a bought food for the whole week. The boat dock is an adventure! I don't think I can express how steep that hill is to get down to it! I happened to have walking sticks that we use for hiking in the car so we used them. It made it so much easier. Also, a pair of tennis shoes are helpful because it is loose rock. My little crocs we wet and not very stable. We traveled with our two older parents so we ended up having them drive over to the closest marina and picking them up in the boat while we refueled. Parking is limited there so you may have to drop them off and have the boat come back and pick you up. Also notable, you are on the quieter side of the lake. the water is warm and clean but if you are trying to get to the spots to jump off the rocks and such, you will have a bit of a boat ride to get to them (about 75-90 minutes). It takes about a tank of gas to get over there and back and gas was about 160 for a tank.Overall, it was a perfect vacation. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Mixed review

Gunner was a responsive host. We greatly appreciated that he upgraded our pontoon rental without any additional charge. He also arranged for a plumber to come to the house once we discovered a leak from the master bath tub. Anytime we called him, he always answered. That being said, the house was not clean. There were 6 lightbulbs either missing or burnt out in a couple of the bathrooms and kitchen as well as various lamps. The outside upper deck was dirty; food crumbs all over and under the table. Gunner did send some one out with new bulbs and a broom and dust pan. Not our job. The cleaning fee of $450 went to what?? Countertops were overall clean but the inside drawers and cupboards were dirty. It was made clear that the walk to the dock was very steep. Yes, it was. That turned out to be a big drawback!! The dock is nice and the water is beautiful! You cannot jump off the top deck on the dock even though they have a gate and and a platform. There is also no using of electricity at the dock. The hillside in front of the house was covered in weeds which wasn't very impressive. My husband was disturbed by this and pulled out all the weeds.

We had the most wonderful stay at this lake house! It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway with family and friends. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to plenty of cozy spaces to hang out together. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning, and we loved spending our mornings with coffee on the deck and our evenings by the fire pit. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made sure every detail was just right. We made so many great memories here and can’t wait to come back again! Highly recommend this lake house to anyone looking for a peaceful and fun retreat.

The house itself was just beautiful and spacious, with the coolest living room couch ever! The view from the enormous deck were beautiful. Narrow and hilly road leading to the property, but after the first time it was no problem. As noted, the walk to the lake was steep and the path was gravel, so that was challenging. But once you got there the two-story dock was wonderful, the views great and the water for swimming was perfect.

It was a great house!! It was very clean and perfect if you have kids! Only thing the walk down to the dock lets just say you need to be in great shape! Lol. The dock was awesome too!

Perfect and beautiful!

Gorgeous, brand new lake front home. Accommodations, activities, communication were all perfect! The only watch out is that the walk to the dock is a bit steep - but worth the workout!
