Martha's Vineyard Preservation Trust Historic Buildings

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Franklin. The location was great, the spaces were clean and well maintained, the staff was helpful and courteous, and the room was pleasant and comfortable. The common kitchen space was convenient and a great feature. A few small nit picky things: The bathroom door in our room was not aligned properly so it was difficult to close and made quite a bit of noise, which was disturbing to a partner sleeping. Likewise, the french door leading to the rear patio on the 1st floor was extremely difficult to close, especially with items in one's hand. As I said, these were minor irritations which would not preclude me from returning, nor should it deter anyone from staying here,

I had two rooms booked on the second floor, 9 and 10, which both smelled musty upon entry and had plank flooring that was busted at the seams in multiple places. The AC ran the whole time and two of the windows wouldn’t properly close so the 5am garbage truck was a nice wake up call. For $500 a night in those small rooms, I wouldn’t recommend.

Het Harbor View hotel is een prachtig hotel met een rijke historie. Het personeel is vriendelijk en servicegericht. Vanaf de grote veranda kun je heerlijk genieten van het mooie uitzicht op de vuurtoren! De kamer was ruim en comfortabel. Het had wel iets schoner gekund, maar dat was dan ook het enige minpuntje.
