'What a fun, convenient and historically rich place to stay. The location was convenient to transportation and anything was a short walk away. The room was spacious, bathroom luxurious, bed extremely comfortable and people friendly and helpful. How nice it was to enjoy a drink outside our room after a day of touring York with a snack in the shade. Being right beside the cathedral was a bonus. Late check in was no problem and staff stored our luggage safely after checkout. '

'De auto kon gratis voor het Hotel geparkeerd worden, maar er is ook een aparte parkeerplaats voor hotelgasten. In het historische pand had ik een wat gedateerde kamer, maar dit was in lijn met de prijs. Ontbijtzaal en café zijn gezellig en bij mooi weer is het lekker buiten op de binnenplaats waar ook locals iets komen drinken. Rustig Engels dorpje.'

'What a gem of a find and without hesitation would return. The bus stop is literally just outside around the corner where we got the bus to Scarborough for £2 esch way. We did the pub quiz on the Wednesday night for a good cause at only £1 each to enter with a free bowl of chips and a plate of sandwiches. The pub has a great atmosphere and we eat in the pub on the evening. I had home made steak pie with yorkshire puddings to start. The bedrooms are modern and very clean with tea msking facilities...

'The location is fabulous, the apartment is fantastic and amenities great. The beds were not great, very uncomfortable. They advertise luggage storage and before we checked in they stored our luggage and then took it to our room when the room was ready, that was awesome, but when we asked for luggage storage on our check out we were told we would have to pay. Staff were very friendly and helpful.'
