'Hotel has seen better days. The rooms and public areas could do with a fresh-up. Especially the doors to the wet areas (toilet, bathroom). Our room was difficult to lock as that needed maintenance too. The staff was not able to fix it during our stay. Good and comfortable beds though. Breakfast area was huge so a big buffet to choose from but no egg station. No breakfast menu or freshly made coffee or tea available, only a machine. '

'Een warm welkom viel ons ten deel. Een verzorgde kamer en een leuke huiskamer waar je kan lezen en waar 's ochtends het ontbijt wordt geserveerd. Prima werkende wifi. Dankzij de tip van de eigenaresse hebben we de Coastal route genomen op weg naar Mallaig en daar heerlijk genoten van de mooie stranden.'

'Spectacular stay. The castle is such a unique experience as a hotel and we loved every minute. The property is beautiful and the service was five star. The only negative was a giant beehive outside our room which prevented us from opening the window. A couple bees also made it inside our room but we were able to “guide” them back out with a small towel. Fortunately neither of us are allergic but my wife was not happy. However this didn’t ruin our stay and we would absolutely return and recommend...
