Stayed in the cottage room. Really small bathroom. The screened in porch, advertised as an upgrade to this room, and the reason we booked this room, was filthy and filled with hardware and cleaning supplies. Completely cluttered and, dirty and unusable. Breakfast was served and was not good. Eggs and fruit were edible, the rest was not. Overall place was dirty and not worth the roughly $170 we paid to stay there. Wanted to like this place, and thought it would be charming based on the reviews we read but it was not.

The property was generally up to date and attractively decorated. The breakfast provided multiple hot and cold choices and the attendant was very helpful. Our biggest reason for 3 stars was the musty smell of the room. We turned on the air, hoping to erase the smell but it never fully went away. We stayed 2 nights and regretted not changing our room since the smell never cleared. We talked to the maid the second morning and the maintenance man stopped by to change the low battery on the thermostat. The air was running even with the low battery. The toilet also had a slight ring of mold when we arrived indicating to me that that room had noted been booked or cleaned recently. We were told that the air conditioner/heat do not run unless motion is detected in the room on the thermostat. Not good for empty rooms with high humidity days!

Staff very helpful I arrived early and they were very helpful I had questions about local transportation they informed no uber, Lyfts or few but provided great transportation alternative
