A very difficult and steep ascent up to an altitude of almost 4500 meters. To get there you have to take a bus to Apizaco where you change to a smaller bus which goes up to the Centro Vacacional where the hike starts. Start as early as possible as there are only 2 or 3 buses a day between Apizaco and the Centro Vacacional.

The Good: - Aldea Kuka boasts captivating architecture that seamlessly blends with its natural surroundings. The design is both unique and inviting. - The overall look and feel of the resort create a serene and relaxing atmosphere. You’ll find yourself immersed in tranquility. - The warm and welcoming lobby staff enhance the guest experience. Their hospitality sets a positive tone upon arrival. The Bad: - Unfortunately, Aldea Kuka falls short when it comes to transparency. Charging tips (propina) for breakfast, which should be included in the room rate, is disappointing. Thin Walls: The rooms suffer from thin walls, allowing every neighbor’s movement to echo through. Light sleepers might find this bothersome. - The resort’s focus on consumption (especially tipping) can feel excessive. While tipping is not mandatory, it often feels like noblesse oblige—expected rather than optional. Addressing those areas could elevate Aldea Kuka to the ranks of high-end hotels.
