The view of the beach and ocean is beautiful. The place is in a great location, quiet, away from city life, but still close enough to get to services and stores. The drive to and from Wilmington is very reasonable. The place had sufficient kitchen cooking and eating essentials and utensils. The parking set up was good and kept the car out of the sun. The inside was very cozy, especially in the living room, and the balcony was nice.The place is a bit tired. The cushions on the balcony chairs are all ripped up. A lot of kitchen items have been left in the cabinets, even though the instructions are clear that everything should be removed. This left the inside of the cabinets rather dirty. The space at the bottom of the sliding glass doors and windows is very dirty. The beds bow a bit. It was cold a couple of days and there are no blankets other than bedspreads. The towels are old and worn. There is no lamp in the master bedroom. A really good cleaning and some TLC would help make this place top-notch.

When we checked in we were told by the cleaning service that the AC was not working properly. We were then told by the manager that it would be looked at. We asked if it couldn't be repaired could we be switched to another location. and was told "we'd cross that bridge when we come to it. A service tech came and could not repair it. They brought us two portable AC units and the manager told us he would be at our condo 9:00 the next morning and the unit would replace the unit. We again asked to be move. We had a 2 year old and a 2 month old staying with us. Next morning nobody comes or calls. We call the general manager and ask to move again. She said if we want a place similar to the property we had paid good money for we'd have to relocate 45 minutes away in Topsail beach.The week was hot and humid. The portable unit in our bedroom would throw a P1 code and beep most of the night. We called and ask what today and was told to empty the tank. I'm 62 and it was difficult for me to do and I emptied it several times. Furthermore. the furniture was worn out, the door to the main bathroom would not shut and the coffee makers was nasty and need replacing. We were extremely disappointed. My wife and I are retired NC teachers who have worked hard for what little money we have. My wife wanted this to be a special week for our sons and grandchildren to enjoy. My wife cried most of the vacation.
