Negatief: Netheid
The Good: right on the water - watch sunrises and waves from the decks (or the beds in the master bedroom). Access to Ocean Dunes indoor pool/hot tub/tennis/shuffleboard/gym was perfect for bad weather. The Bad: The house seems mid-remodel with parts showing age. Some upgrades are noticeable, but significant gaps remain like no ice maker, dishwasher spray arm broken, 3-way light switches are now not (cutting off one switch means the other switch cannot be used); doors that won't close or lock; and the front door lock keypad stopped working (or never worked).The Ugly: The house was only surface cleaned. Dishes put away were dirty; sand and dirt fell from the couch each time we sat down; pans and pots put away with food scraps and grease; there was no organization in the kitchen with like-items scattered across many cabinets; brooms were shoved into a closet with 1/2 inch of sand left on floor and a wet mop, and air filters were blackened and falling apart having not been changed. Other notes: The beach has rocks close to shore. This can be fun to walk along, but makes going in/out of the water difficult. The decor is cool, but we felt too much and left no space for guest to put clothes/suitcases. No mirrors in bedrooms. Duffy permitted use of the basement/garage bypassing “no Guest Access” sign, without that storage we'd have had no place to put our beach chairs/boards/toys and would have been a dealbreaker.
