'Eoin met us at the drive as the cottar is tucked away. He then proceeded to give us his family background and ideas for visiting. There was a stocked kitchen complete with wine and crackers and a cozy fire crackling when we arrived. The inside is a lot bigger than pictures do it justice and we enjoyed unplugging from life for a few days. The location of the cottar is very convenient to the co op, restaurants and anywhere in the island. Honestly, it was heaven!'

'Het huis is een perfecte uitvalsbasis om Ilse of Skye te verkennen. Op amper 25 minuten rijden van Kyle of Lochalsh waar je de brug naar Skye overrijdt. Het prachtige Eilean Donna kasteel ligt op 20 minuutjes rijden. Je kan ook mooie wandelingen in de buurt maken en inkopen doen kan bij de Spar op 20 minuten rijden of de co-op op 25 minuten rijden. Een lokale “kruidenier” vind je op wandelafstand evenals het heel aangename “ pitstop@kintail”. Het huis is heel goed uitgerust met 5 ruime...

'We had a lovely stay in the Abbey. Apartment was spacious and comfortable. The ambiance and atmosphere was stunning. From here we made our trips to Inverness, isle of Skye and took the "Harry Potter" train in fort William to Malaig. Our daughters enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna.'

'Ik kan het iedereen aanraden het was geweldig! Een prachtig verzorgd huis waar aan alles was gedacht. Geweldige ligging, we zijn al vaak in Schotland geweest maar dit is redelijk centraal. Het was wel een lange rit om er te komen met kinderen, maar zeker de moeite waard. De enige kant tekening voor ons was de afwezigheid van de droogtrommel die in de beschrijving wel was benoemd. Helaas hebben we wel regen gehad (wat geen probleem is) maar met kleine kinderen en een baby hadden we daar toch wel...

'Prachtige woning die je ook tijdens regenachtige dagen voldoende comfort en mooie uitzichten biedt. De woning is goed uitgerust, bedden zijn prima. Hoewel schoonmaak en onderhoud beter kan, vinden wij het zeker een aanrader.'
