« Wonderful accommodations in a most beautiful part of our world. The building is very old and this is not perfect. For us it was perfect. An excellent breakfast each morning and dinner and pints in the evening. Plenty to see nearby. We look forward to visiting again. »

« Quirky property, lovely log fire, helpful staff. Good food. Dogs very well catered for. Would have preferred a groundfloor room, which was originally allocated, but ended up in a first floor room. Lot of noise from heavy traffic at the rear of the property which can be heard in the room »

« Great location. Great staff. Breakfast selection good, but finishes too early for staying on holiday, so missed some breakfasts. Some issues with bathroom: towel rail/radiator not working,extraction fan not working & strong smell of drains. »

« The parking was good, always available . The room was pleasant. The food was good. The problems were - the position on a hectic main road, I didn’t see it mentioned on there review. The heat, though the weather was not hot you could barely open the windows and then had to shut them because of the noise of the traffic and then there was black mold on the bottom of the shower. The staff were pleasant though breakfast was not explained very well! »

« Beautiful setting right on the river with a very friendly staff team and clean and well appointed rooms. It’s not luxurious but everything is thought through and it’s clean. Mattress on the bed was a bit worn - I could feel the springs a bit, so that could do with a replacement but it was a generally really comfortable and relaxed stay. Food was very good - very nice cooked breakfast and I had one evening meal which was very generous. As a solo traveller I felt very comfortable and the staff...

« Très bien situé au centre de Coleford, très jolie petite ville hors du temps. Parking gratuit a proximité. Personnel très sympathique et pub traditionnel anglais, pas de restauration mais on peut amener son take away. Chambre familiale très grande avec même un très joli lit à baldaquin Gros bémol : le bar tapas a côté qui est très bruyant jusqu'à tard dans la nuit (musique et gens qui discutent dans la rue a l'arrêt de bus) préjudiciable pour les chambres donnant sur la rue. « Ideal for Chepstow racecourse. Not much else about the area without walking or taxis. On checki the weirdest thing happened they wouldn’t take payment and told me was a,ready paid for. Rooms we had were small but the bed was comfy. Rooms ok some could do with a lick of paint. Breakfast is ok I’m fussy about food so didn’t eat a lot just toast and coffee but the others in my party had the full English not so sure about paying extra for an extra sausage etc. hotel was very noisy on the Saturday...

« A little bit difficult to get there but worth the trip. Very nice and comfortable room. Very well stocked with breakfast foods. Very close and easy access to Wales and Eye Valley. »
