'The room description (see also the photo) stated private bathroom (not in room). In reality, the bathroom turned out to be shared. The staff indicated that this was incorrectly listed by Hotels.com. However, a review from another guest shows that this is not an isolated incident but a structural issue. To make matters worse, the staff began loudly cleaning the kitchen next to my room at 6:45 a.m. If you value privacy and a good night’s sleep, I would recommend looking elsewhere.'

'I spent one week at Amankaya and had a great time! Fernando is an amazing host that always goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The location is a bit secluded from everything but theres a boat that can pass by the lakehouse 3x a day which makes accessing all of the other villages very easy. There is complimentary water and kayaks available. The kitchen is very big and very well stocked. Theres also a lovely dog and 2 cats to keep you company. I'd recommend Amankaya to...
